The Lantern Festival, also known as the 1st Full Moon of the Lunar New Year, has become one of the great full moon days of the year for Vietnamese people. This is the first full moon day of the new year, people often go to the temple to pray for blessings for the whole year.

Lotus in Buddhism is also a symbol of purity and elevation. These days, people who go to the temple usually present the most beautiful lotus flowers to express their sincerity and pray for all good things. This is also the message WEAW wants to send to our dear followers on this meaningful day.

Tết Nguyên Tiêu hay còn gọi là Rằm tháng giêng đã trở thành một trong những ngày rằm lớn trong năm của người Việt. Đây là ngày rằm đầu tiên của năm mới, người dân thường đi chùa để cầu nguyện phước lành cho cả năm.

On weekends, I often come here with my friends. This is an old coffee shop located in a narrow alley where many food vendors are in two parallel lines.

☕️This coffee shop doesn’t offer unique decoration, it looks simple and relatively low-key, but it always evokes a pang of nostalgia for the old Saigon. It sounds nice being surrounded by an aromatic smell of coffee while drinking it and shooting the breeze with your friends.

“I came here for tea and he (his friend) came here for coffee. We found out that Vietnam was a place that had coffee and tea and was very famous for coffee. In Singapore, it’s very difficult to find Vietnamese tea. We have Taiwanese tea, Chinese tea, and Indian one but not Vietnamese tea. So we decided to come to Vietnam and try Vietnamese tea.” Wo said.

🥰Being Vietnamese, we are delighted to hear that as our foreign friends are eager to both popular beverages of Vietnam. More importantly, we feel glad to have an opportunity to deliver them Vietnamese values, beauty, and culture throughout the trip.

We have different ways to hide ourselves from the hustle and bustle of life. Some might enjoy the dream Mr. Sandman gives them, or others read books and listen to some chill-out songs. Meanwhile, I would love to find my own space at a little concern in the heart of Saigon and sip a cup of coffee.

✨While the coffee’s droplets are dropping steadily into my cup, I would observe everything around me. The sunrays slant through the window and land on the ground as if they are seeking a place to rest before dusk. The winds slip through the trees’ leaves making them shake slightly. The fragrant scent of coffee surrounds me and mingles with some good old songs. Such simple things really help me vent out some steam and go into deep relaxation.
