⛈️⛳[RAIN CHECK GOLF POLICY: ESSENTIAL INFORMATION FOR GOLFERS] ⛈️⛳
When playing golf, you have likely come across the term "Rain Check". This is a support policy designed to assist golfers when bad weather disrupts their round.
Simply put, a Rain Check is a form of compensation, typically in the form of a voucher or equivalent benefit, allowing players to return and complete their round at a later date without having to pay the full green fee again.
🔔 While each golf course may apply different regulations, Rain Check policies generally follow these basic principles:
📌 When Rain Checks Are Issued:
Rain Checks are usually provided when the golf course officially closes due to severe weather conditions (heavy rain, storms, lightning, etc.) that make playing dangerous or impossible.
📌 Who Decides Course Closure:
The golf course management team (including the Course Maintenance Manager, Operations Director, or General Manager) is responsible for making the final decision regarding course closure.
📌 Typical Rain Check Calculation:
0–4 holes completed: usually eligible for a Rain Check for 18 holes.
5–9 holes completed: usually eligible for a Rain Check for 9 holes.
📌 Scope of Application:
Rain Checks typically cover green fees, golf cart rental fees, and caddie fees.
They usually do not apply to equipment rentals, private caddie booking fees, guest fees, or other additional services.
📌 Validity Period:
Rain Check vouchers usually have a validity period ranging from 2 to 6 months from the date of issuance, depending on the specific golf course's policy.
📌 Cases Where Rain Check Is Not Issued:
When players voluntarily stop playing due to personal reasons not related to course closure.
Twilight golf packages (discounted late afternoon tee times) are generally excluded.
