FROM “SELLING DESTINATIONS” TO “CREATING EXPERIENCES”

Tourism is changing.

In the 20th century, tourism was largely about selling destinations. Where to go, what to see, where to take photos… tourism products were built mainly around famous destinations.

Entering the 21st century, especially in the digital era, travelers want more. They do not simply want to visit a place; they want to experience something, discover a story to remember, take home an emotion, participate in meaningful activities, and create lasting memories.

In reality, tourism is shifting from “selling destinations” to “creating experiences”, and beyond that, toward co-creating experiences together with travelers.

This is also what VietMark focuses on in its professional work and in designing tourism products for the market, particularly through Team Building programs.

I was delighted to participate as a guest speaker at CTI 2026 – the 1st Conference on “Creative Tourism in the Digital Era” at Van Lang University, joining the plenary session and exchanging perspectives with experts on contemporary tourism issues.

After many years in the tourism industry, I have come to realize that creative tourism is not simply about applying new technologies. More importantly, it is about creating new products, new experiences, and new values for travelers. This perspective is also fully aligned with the research and thinking of scholars both in Vietnam and around the world.

And perhaps the future of tourism will be:

“It is not only about where we take travelers, but more importantly, about what we make them feel.”

A Team Building journey filled with unforgettable memories! 📽️

🚙 Jeeps in every color.
🌊 Crystal-blue ocean.
👥 300 amazing people.
🔥 And the energy? These photos only tell part of the story!

More than 300 team members came together in Mũi Né, cruising colorful Jeeps, embracing the beautiful coastline, and giving it their all throughout an exciting series of Team Building activities.

What we brought home wasn’t just a collection of great photos—it was the laughter we shared, the challenges we overcame together, and the stronger bonds we built along the way.

Because sometimes, it’s not Team Building itself that creates connection—it’s the shared experiences, the teamwork, and the unforgettable moments that truly bring people closer. 💙

VIETMARK GIVES WITH HEART

“On July 26, as part of the “Journey of Gratitude 2026” program organized by the Vietnam Journalists Association to commemorate the 79th Anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, Sai Gon Giai Phong (SGGP) Newspaper, in collaboration with VietMark Travel & Events Co., Ltd., Nhan Hoa Investment and Trading Services Co., Ltd. (TOSHIKO), and the Long Châu Pharmacy & Vaccination System, presented meaningful gifts to residents of Nam Hai Lang Commune, Quang Tri Province.

The program donated 100 blood pressure monitors to families under preferential policies and people who have rendered meritorious services to the nation, awarded 30 scholarships worth VND 1,000,000 each, and presented 200 warm jackets to disadvantaged students with outstanding academic performance.

This meaningful initiative reflects the shared commitment of the participating organizations to honoring those who have contributed to the nation while supporting underprivileged students and helping create a brighter future for the younger generation.”

SHARING WARMTH, DELIVERING HOPE

On July 17, at the headquarters of Sai Gon Giai Phong (SGGP) Newspaper, VietMark Travel & Event Co., Ltd. donated VND 100 million, equivalent to 500 warm jackets, in support of the "Warm Jackets for School" campaign organized by SGGP. The initiative aims to provide warm clothing for students in remote and mountainous areas, particularly those from ethnic minority communities facing difficult living conditions.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Do Tuan Anh, Director of VietMark, shared that July 18 marks the company's 20th anniversary. To commemorate this meaningful milestone, VietMark chose to celebrate in a different way—by dedicating part of its anniversary budget to the "Warm Jackets for School" campaign. Through this contribution, the company hopes to support disadvantaged children while spreading the values of compassion, sharing, and social responsibility.

Ms. Bui Thi Hong Suong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of SGGP Newspaper, expressed her sincere appreciation for VietMark's continued partnership and support of many community programs and competitions organized by the newspaper over the years, including "Honoring Vietnamese Values" and "Lighting the Way – Helping Students Stay in School."

Congratulating VietMark on its 20th anniversary, Ms. Suong affirmed that SGGP will deliver these meaningful gifts to students in remote communities before winter arrives. More than protection from the cold, each warm jacket carries a message of care and encouragement, giving children greater confidence to continue their education and pursue their dreams for a brighter future.

20 YEARS IN THE PROFESSION #6

Episode #6: More Than a Promise, VietMark Always Sees It Through

Some events take months of preparation, yet their success is often determined in just the final few hours.

This story took place at The Anam Mui Ne.

For three months, VietMark worked closely with the client, refining every detail. Once the plan was finalized, the entire project shifted into high gear. Within just two weeks, the team accelerated every aspect of ex*****on, racing against time to complete two separate stages for two major events on consecutive evenings—all within just 24 hours.

Everything was progressing exactly as planned.

The weather forecast before the trip showed only a 1% chance of rain.

But at 3:00 p.m. on the day of the Gala Dinner, dark clouds began gathering to inform a sudden thunderstorm with strong winds swept across The Anam Mui Ne, something that even many resort staff said was extremely rare.

Only four hours remained before the opening ceremony.

An emergency meeting was called immediately on site.

Mr. Tuan Anh, Director of VietMark, personally led the reinforcement of the stage, adding extra scaffolding, steel cables, and sandbags to ensure the safety of the large LED screen. Yen Phi worked with the show director, MC, and the sound and lighting teams to adjust the program. D**g An coordinated the promotional staff, dancers, and singers. Luan Tran and the VietMark team, together with the tour guides, assisted the resort in reorganizing the dinner venue. Duy Thai worked closely with the kitchen to prepare a revised menu and backup service plan.

Within a short time, the stage was reinforced, all equipment was secured, the dinner venue was relocated from the lawn to the restaurant, and every task was completed before guests arrived.

No one asked,

"Can we still do it?"

Instead, everyone focused on one question:

"How can we make this event the best it can possibly be?"

At 7:00 p.m., the rain was still falling as the program officially began.

The client's senior lady executive cheerfully stepped onto the stage and delivered her opening speech in the rain. The MC, dancers, singers, and the entire production team continued giving their very best, delivering a memorable Gala Dinner through professionalism, composure, and wholehearted dedication.

Outside, the cold wind still lingered, with the last drops of rain falling.

Inside the restaurant, however, everyone shared an unforgettable evening.

That is what VietMark has been committed to for the past 20 years.

VIETMARK PROUDLY CONTRIBUTES TO U.S. INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS

On the occasion of U.S. Independence Day (July 4), VietMark was pleased to play a small part in the celebration by supporting activities organized by our partners in Vietnam, including event decoration and interactive games.

Over the years, VietMark has been honored to work alongside the U.S. Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City on a variety of meaningful programs, from outings combined with team-building activities and CSR initiatives in La Gi, Ho Tram, Vung Tau, and Can Gio, to Children's Day events for orphans at Mai Tam Shelter.

At VietMark, it is always a privilege to contribute, even in a small way, to meaningful initiatives that create positive and lasting value for the community. This commitment continues to inspire us to serve with dedication and make a meaningful difference wherever we can.

20 YEARS IN THE PROFESSION #5

Episode 5: Anticipate Risks – Deliver Safety

When people think of Team Building Training, they often picture challenging outdoor adventures: mountain climbing, jungle trekking, rafting, trail running, camping, fire-making, or finding water and food in the wilderness.

At VietMark, however, the true value of these programs has never been about adventure itself.

What matters most is helping participants recognize potential risks, assess situations carefully, and make the right decisions before taking action.

This philosophy has guided VietMark for many years through our principle: RIMSOF – Risk In Mind, Safe On Field.

Risk In Mind means anticipating what could happen before it happens. Every route is carefully surveyed, every challenge is thoroughly assessed, weather conditions are continuously monitored, and comprehensive safety and emergency response plans are prepared before each program begins.

Safe On Field means putting safety into action. Equipment is carefully inspected, facilitators are assigned clear responsibilities, operating procedures are strictly followed, and participants receive thorough briefings so they are well prepared to respond to unexpected situations.

At VietMark, challenge should never be confused with recklessness.

A successful program is not the one with the greatest risks, but the one with the strongest risk management. When people feel safe, they gain the confidence to step beyond their comfort zones, discover their potential, and grow together as a team.

After many years of partnering with hundreds of businesses, VietMark has become even more convinced that the most valuable lessons do not come from adrenaline-filled experiences. They come from staying calm under pressure, working effectively with teammates, and making the right decisions when they matter most.

That is the meaning behind our message:

Anticipate Risks – Deliver Safety.

At VietMark, experience does more than create successful programs—it creates peace of mind throughout every journey. That commitment has remained unchanged throughout our 20 years of serving our clients.

GRANT THORNTON VIETNAM BRINGS CARE AND JOY TO STUDENTS IN REMOTE COMMUNITIES

As part of its Summer CSR 2026 initiatives, VietMark was honored to partner with Grant Thornton Vietnam in organizing a meaningful community outreach program at Long Hung Primary School in Thoi Long, Can Tho.

In addition to donating 100 school gift sets and five Lenovo desktop computers to the school, VietMark designed and organized a variety of engaging summer activities, including team games, cooking sessions, interactive exchanges, and fun recreational programs with the students. These memorable experiences brought joy, laughter, and valuable learning opportunities to children in remote areas—activities they rarely have the chance to enjoy.

Representing Grant Thornton Vietnam, Mr. Nguy Quoc Tuan shared that he hopes these gifts and heartfelt support will inspire the students to stay motivated and pursue their education with confidence.

VietMark sincerely thanks Grant Thornton Vietnam, the local authorities, Long Hung Primary School, and all volunteers whose dedication made this meaningful program possible, helping spread kindness and positive values throughout the community.

20 YEARS IN THE PROFESSION #4

Episode 4: Creating Value Through Partnership

A successful program does not begin with a beautiful stage or an impressive script.

It begins with sitting down with the client, listening carefully, asking the right questions, and working together to discover what the organization truly needs.

Not long ago, Mr. Trần Đông An, Deputy Director of VietMark and a sales expert, received a request from a company facing challenges in collaboration among its departments. The client wanted to organize a Team Building program to create a lively atmosphere and strengthen team connections.

Had we simply accepted the request and delivered the program, it would have been just another enjoyable event.

Instead, An and the VietMark team spent several days working closely with the client, identifying the root causes behind the lack of collaboration, discussing their objectives, refining the key messages, and co-creating the program scenario. What both sides were searching for was not merely a series of exciting games, but a solution to the invisible challenges: helping people understand one another better, collaborate more effectively, and return from the journey with renewed confidence in their own team.

When the program ended, what the client remembered most was not the stage, the sound system, or the applause. It was the positive transformation in the way their people worked together and supported one another.

Twenty years of experience have taught VietMark that the true value of an event organizer is not simply delivering a well-executed event, but partnering with clients to solve the right problems.

Because while a program may end after just a few hours, the value it creates for an organization is what truly lasts.

20 YEARS IN THE PROFESSION #3

Episode 3: Team Building – Beyond the Laughter, It's About People

Many clients come to Team Building programs to create excitement, strengthen connections, or give their teams an energetic and memorable experience. But some clients bring us a much deeper challenge.

One day, VietMark received a very special request:

"Design a Team Building program that helps us identify who ignites the fire, who keeps the fire burning, and who spreads the fire throughout the organization."

At first, it sounded simple. But this was no longer about fun games or creating a lively atmosphere. It was a challenge about people.

How could each activity and challenge provide individuals with an opportunity to reveal their leadership qualities, sense of responsibility, and ability to connect with others within a team?

After two decades in the industry, VietMark has learned that the greatest value of Team Building is not found solely in laughter or moments of excitement. More importantly, it allows organizations to gain a deeper understanding of their people: Who steps forward when the team needs direction, who quietly keeps the team moving, and who has the ability to unite individuals into a stronger collective force.

That is why, when taking on this assignment, VietMark chose a different approach. Every challenge was designed not only to inspire engagement and enthusiasm but also to create opportunities for participants to demonstrate their roles within the team: those who lead the way, those who provide stability behind the scenes, and those who inspire and energize others.

What VietMark remembers most, however, is what the client shared after the program:

"VietMark did more than organize a Team Building event. You helped us recognize the people who truly align with our company culture and values."

Perhaps that is the most meaningful outcome of a successful Team Building program. It does more than create enjoyment—it helps organizations discover the character, strengths, and valuable talents that already exist within their own teams.
