RAINY SEASON IN PHU QUOC - AND A DIFFERENT WAY TO EXPERIENCE IT
From May, Phu Quoc enters the rainy season. The rain usually comes in short bursts and doesn’t last all day, so you can still enjoy the beaches, resorts, and sunny moments. But if you’re looking for something deeper and a bit different during this time, combining your trip with the Mekong Delta is a great option.
Day 1 | Phu Quoc – Chau Doc
Leave the island by speedboat to Ha Tien, then continue by private car to Chau Doc. As you travel inland, the pace of life slows down. Check- in hotel and relax
Day 2| Explore Chau Doc
Visit a Cham village to learn about local culture and daily life, then glide through the peaceful waterways of Tra Su Cajuput Forest. Head to the heart of the Mekong Delta
Day 3 | Can Tho
A true slow day. Travel by boat to a pristine islet with very little tourism. Pick fresh fruits in the garden, visit floating fish farms, go to a local market, and cook together with local families. This is not just a visit- it’s a chance to truly live the local way.
Day 4 | Floating Market & onward journey
Start early with a visit to Cai Rang Floating Market. Enjoy a bowl of hot noodle soup right on the river while watching the vibrant trading scene. After that, continue your journey back to Phu Quoc or head to Ho Chi Minh City.
It's a chance to experience Southern Vietnam at a slower, deeper, and more authentic pace - especially beautiful during the green, peaceful rainy season.
