Cycling north Vietnam: Sapa to LaiChau - Brisbane Cycling Club.

A challenge day but beautiful scenery of HoangLienSon mountain. First stage will be 12km climb out of Sapa to Silver waterfalls. Then 4k more climb to the highest pass of Vietnam - Oquiho. Summit +2,050 meter above the sea level. Then we have a fabulous decend 25km to BinhLu.
After lunch break in BinhLu new town, we turn off hw 4D for a nice ride 30km to LaiChau with some climb through BanHon village of the Lu tribe.
Overnight at MuongThanh hotel in LaiChau. Total cycling approx. 70km.

ThanhPhu is famous with the mountain marathon race !
Thousands of runner coming here for the challenge. The event take place every year at Topas resort ThanhPhu around mid September.
