VIETNAM SET REOPEN- 1JULY2020- POST COVID 19! Hope all of you and your family are safe. We have some good news in Vietnam. As of May 27, Vietnamâs Ministry of Health confirmed a total of 327 cases of COVID-19. However, 272 of the affected patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals. The latest additional case was a Vietnamese national returning on a repatriation flight from Russia and was automatically quarantined on arrival at the airport as required for all repatriated expats and Vietnam nationals.
The Vietnam Government has done an excellent job in containing CoVID-19 in the country and have since decreed to re-open all non-essential business, resuming domestic flights, public transport & foodball match with audiences.
Citizens of 80 countries will be granted electronic visas when immigration procedures in Vietnam, according to the Government's resolution on 25/5.
The issuance of e-visas begins July 1, for citizens of countries such as Austria, Poland, Belgium, Portugal, Germany, India, South Korea, the United States, Italy, Finland, France, China (including Hong Kong, Macao).
The Government stipulates 8 international airports to allow foreigners to enter and exit with electronic visas, including: Noi Bai airport (Hanoi), Tan Son Nhat airport (Ho Chi Minh City), Cam Ranh airport (Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa), Da Nang airport, Cat Bi airport (Hai Phong), Can Tho, Phu Quoc (Kien Giang) and Phu Bai (Thua Thien Hue) airports.
16 land entry gates include: Tay Trang (Dien Bien); Mong Cai (Quang Ninh); Huu Nghi (Lang Son); Lao Cai; Na Meo (Thanh Hoa); Nam Can (Nghe An); Cau Treo (Ha Tinh) and Cha Lo (Quang Binh); La Lay, Lao Bao (Quang Tri); Bo Y (Kon Tum); Moc Bai and Xa Mat (Tay Ninh); Tinh Bien and Song Tien (An Giang); Ha Tien (Kien Giang).
13 sea ports include: Hon G*i and Cam Pha (Quang Ninh province); Hai Phong; Nghi Son (Thanh Hoa); Vung Ang (Ha Tinh); Chan May (Thua Thien Hue); Danang; Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa); Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh); Dung Quat (Quang Ngai); Vung Tau (Ba Ria - Vung Tau); Ho Chi Minh City; Duong D**g (Kien Giang).
The above policy is implemented by the Government in accordance with the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Entry, Exit, Transit, and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam in 2019.
This is the first sign of opening the market. In order for the policy to put into practice, it is necessary to add other conditions such as reopening flight routes, details of procedures, fees and quarantine regulations.
