This is where I lived and worked for so many years. I would only add that the beach area just north of Hong Chong promitory offers a much calmer and warmer more swimmable beach experience.

My most recent attempt to promote Vietnam as a tourist destination has been under constant cyber attack and is being throttled where that makes it difficult to reach my intended readers. I also suspect that the Canadian government's regulation of the internet through bill C11, C18, and Canada's settlement with Google is largely responsible.

I am sad to say that it is no longer viable to maintain Owee58.com and Vietnamtraveladvice.net

I will continue to give occasional updates on this page. My upcoming tour in February may be my last and I will simply continue my travels to Vietnam for pleasure only.

Thank you to all of you who have given me your support for the last 20 years.

A few random shots. Finished our adventure a few days early. All went well but sadly, Sapa, and Meo Vac has been overwhelmed by so much tourism, it sucked much of the pleasure out of visiting.
