Beachside holiday. Totally in the top!

This little slice of paradise has recently opened on An Bang beach. It's called The Shorehouse An Bang Beach and is within walking distance of the Dolphin House. Serving up lashings of seafood and steak, not to mention the unspeakably good cocktails you won't want to leave.

"Your Home by the Sea" We booked here with some worries about what kind of place it would be and the location. But our five days here were wonderful. You should not expect your usual hotel or resort. Instead you have your own house, a very short walk from a lovely beach. (One caveat: The water can be a bit rough.) Our house was large and had everything we needed -- and then some. The engaging, knowledgeable and incredibly helpful Ms. Hang provides you with a cell phone to reach her if you need anything (a bike for the day, help buying a train ticket, a taxi) and a friendly local woman comes in to prepare breakfast and clean. We felt incredibly pampered and well taken care of.

Our house was large and had everything we needed -- and then some. Everything worked well and was impeccably clean.

An Bang is a fishing village morphing into a resort. For now it is still charming and a respite from the hordes in Hoi An. To get to town we bicycled through the rice paddies and the congested outskirts of Hoi An or took a taxi. There are restaurants and some basic services in An Bang.

A massage in the rain. Heaven! Thanks for staying with us, Adrian. "Beautiful garden and decor of house. Clean and tidy. Big rooms. Nice bathroom and balcony. We had to leave early on the day of checkout and missed breakfast. They gave us some yogurt and fruit as compensation. Organised transport to airport which was on time. Organised scooter to hire. Organised spa ladies to come do massages and treatments on our request. Was a real treat as it was raining and we did not want to go out. Also short distance to beach. And lovely restaurants. Purple Lantern is a must visit”

An Bang Dolphin House is only 50 metres from the beach. It's obviously a big part of the appeal. We love it because it is place you can relax and leave your worries behind. If your tummy's rumbling It's a short walk to the wonderful restaurants in An Bang. Though as our village grows, so do the restaurants and numbers of tourists. That's great for the local people of An Bang, though Dolphin House is yours to enjoy. Head for a swim or the restaurants or simply stay in with a good book. We have some great deals over December and January, so please drop us a line.

Nice Place to Stay for vacation

An Bang dolphin house is a well built villa very close to the beach. it only takes us like 2 min to get there. the bathrooms are really nice with an open space to look outside but no one will ever see you in it! the breakfast they cook for us every day tasted very western style however they offer 2 local dishes, which is good. it's quite most of the time and the little shop on the opposite has most of the daily goods, like soft drinks, toothbrushes, cooking oil... they also provide airport pick up, which saved us some time of looking at maps or trying to grab a taxi. little restaurants around would be able to give you a great chance of trying local foods and if not, there's a small market opening at 6am where you can get meat and all sorts of veges. but no bargain there as it's not like the one in the Hoi An town, where you should cut 40% off the price they offer. we went there in Oct and before we left for it, the weather forecast said it would be raining all the days, which actually disappointed us. however there were only a few showers which didn't last long in two of the days and most of the time there we had great sunshine, which was nice. the water was warm and nice although we had thought it could be cool. Nice trip!

Situated in An Bang Village near Hoi An, Dolphin House is a well planned out and comfortable air conditioned two bedroom house only 50 metres from the beach. Laze away the days at the beach or spend time resting on the large daytbeds on the balconies outside each bedroom. Large lounge with daybed to lay there and watch tv during the day and a bar fridge to stock your supplies of drinks etcetera. Many choices of breakfast included in the price, with my choices being the Pho Bo and the Cao Lau or the old favourite of scrambled eggs and bacon. Hang the receptionist attended to our daily needs whenever we needed anything and she even loaned us a charged up mobile phone for the week with her number in it in case we needed to call her. I cannot speak highly enough of the place and will definitely come back again next year.
