A Personal Beach Review: From Da Nang to Mui Ne (July 2026)

For those who love the beach and enjoy swimming, here’s my personal review of the coastline from Da Nang to Mui Ne based on my recent road trip.

These are simply my own experiences during this journey, so I hope they help if you’re planning a family beach holiday.

📍 Da Nang (My Khe Beach)
Exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and beautifully organized. It remains one of the best urban beaches in Vietnam.

📍 Hoi An
Clean, peaceful, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. Ha My Beach feels more spacious for swimming than An Bang Beach.

📍 Tam Thanh – Tam Tien
Generally clean with a charming fishing village atmosphere. There is some litter around the abandoned houses in Tam Tien, making that particular area look a bit untidy.

📍 Eo Gio – Ky Co
The scenery is beautiful, but I noticed untreated household wastewater being discharged directly into the sea in some areas, which created an unpleasant smell.

📍 Nhon Hai (Quy Nhon)
Clear, beautiful water and a fairly clean beach. However, some beaches closer to Quy Nhon city still have noticeable litter.

📍 Phu Yen
One of the highlights of the trip. Crystal-clear water, clean beaches, and stunning coastal scenery.

📍 Doc Let - Khanh Hoa
A bit disappointing. I found quite a lot of trash, from the road leading to the beach all the way to the shoreline.

📍 Nha Trang City Beach
Still beautiful, clean, and a great place for swimming.

📍 Bai Dai (Nha Trang)
A gorgeous beach, although I experienced some mild itching after swimming—possibly because of jellyfish.

📍 Phan Rang
Clean, scenic, and enjoyable. There was a small amount of litter left by visitors or locals during the day, but overall it was still a very pleasant beach.

📍 Mui Ne
Some access roads are still in poor condition. The beach I visited had quite a bit of litter, so the experience wasn’t quite what I had hoped for.

These are just my personal impressions during my visit in July 2026. Beach conditions can vary depending on the season, weather, ocean currents, and, most importantly, how well we all take care of our environment.

I truly hope Vietnam’s beautiful coastline continues to become cleaner, greener, and something we can all be proud of.

The best part of Hoi An isn’t found in the Ancient Town.

It’s hidden down quiet village roads, across river islands, through rice fields, and in conversations with local families who have called this countryside home for generations.

Today, our vintage Jeep took us beyond the tourist trail and into the real Hoi An—where water buffalo graze, farmers work the fields, and life moves at its own peaceful pace.

🌊🇻🇳🇵🇭 A chance encounter in international waters has become one of the internet’s most heartwarming stories this week.

While fishing far from shore, a Vietnamese fishing boat crossed paths with a group of Filipino fishermen. Instead of simply waving and moving on, the Vietnamese crew invited their counterparts over for a taste of traditional 45-degree rice wine to warm up against the sea breeze.

What happened next captured the true spirit of life at sea.

The Vietnamese fishermen welcomed their Filipino neighbors to share a freshly cooked meal on deck. Despite speaking different languages, the two crews connected through handshakes, smiles, laughter, and simple gestures that needed no translation.

In the middle of the open ocean, national borders seemed to disappear. The encounter reflected an unwritten rule long understood by seafarers around the world: when you share the same sea, you look out for one another—and once you share a meal, you’re family.

A powerful reminder that sometimes the strongest diplomacy happens not in conference rooms, but over a humble meal between strangers on the open sea.
