Almost halfway through the month, and so much to accomplish still!

I had three great conversations this week already with people who are curious about what I do. One of them is already asking next steps and is excited about being in the travel world now that she knows her options.

I helped a family finalize plans for a trip they’ve been putting off for over two years. The sigh of relief when we were on the phone knowing everything is handled, that never gets old and I love that they will finally be making those memories.

Another exciting booking is a couple celebrating 20 years in Aruba this summer. At an adults only, all Inclusive, on the most Instagrammable and beautiful half crescent moon shaped bay with shallow turquoise water.

8 people traveled over the last 2 weeks, with places that included Miami, Dominican Republic and Aruba.

I’m working on a multi island Hawaii trip for a mom and son that is going to be the perfect getaway packed with sunshine and activities.

3 cruise quotes sent last night that are waiting for deposit.

None of this is normal for me in a “traditional” sense. I always want to get out, be on the move, working in public spaces. But now I can go to Events where the conversation is high energy (like this evening at Talisa’s on Main) research every corner of the world, and spend all of my time with my family now. If I want to work outside of the home- I can decide to do that too.

Turns out sometimes you make your own luck by saying yes to the right thing at the right time. Even if it keeps nudging you for 7 years in the background.
In the first 4 months of this year, I booked more travel than I had in the previous 3 years combined.

For a year I’ve been brainstorming and trying to decide if I can make a vision a reality. And the funny thing is, I KNOW I can.

Starting with this post, I will be giving vision ideas, to see who would be SERIOUS about doing a girls trip to Vietnam in 2027!

Think lanterns glowing over narrow streets at sunset. Ancient temples wrapped in incense and quiet morning energy. Street food tours where you eat bowl after bowl of pho, banh mi, and stuff you can’t even pronounce yet (but trust me, you’ll be obsessed). Sunrise yoga somewhere with a view that feels unreal. Café hopping in spots so cute you’ll forget to actually drink your Vietnamese coffee. A boat trip to a tucked away beach town for a slower, salt-air kind of day.
Markets, music, lantern festivals, and the kind of cultural moments that stay with you forever.

We’re talking 4-star stays in walkable areas, a mix of relaxation, sightseeing, and adventure, and a vibe that’s sober-friendly, low key,.. but soulful, and seriously fun.

Whether we land in Ho Chi Minh City or Da Nang depends on timing, but either way, this trip is going to be magic.

If you were around for Covid, have felt the air space shut downs, are dealing with rising flight costs, or have been on hold with Disney like I was for 1.5 hours yesterday, than you know that this industry can be a rollercoaster- but also so amazing and rewarding.
