Well this was crazy! My driver was on drugs or something and just started yelling at everyone he could. We almost hit a few pedestrians on the drive too! Luckily I got a new driver once we hit the main bus station.

Phnom Penh is not one of my favorite cities so far and seemed to just be a jump off point to get to other cities in Cambodia. I would recommend seeing

This was the start of my Tao Philippines Expedition which was a 5 day island hopping trip with 20 other travelers from El Nido to Coron. The itinerary is made up the day of, there is no wifi and minimal electricity. Its just you, friends and nature. An awesome trip with wonderful people.

Floating hotel proposes best views of Aurora Borealis

The proposed and soon to be built, Krystall Hotel is perhaps the best place to view the Aurora Borealis on earth. The floating luxury accommodation is shaped like a snowflake and built within the Arctic Circle. It will be based in the fjords of picturesque Tromso in Norway. Beautiful in its own right, but imagine, the northern lights above.

The project is being developed by Dutch Docklands, which specializes in floating structures, and they intend for its design to blend in naturally with the winter environment. It will be constructed on a concrete base that’s then tethered to the fjords, but will still have the freedom to move between six and 10 feet on either side of its center.

Krystall Hotel will be the first floating hotel in Europe, offering 86 rooms will a glass roof for viewing of the Northern Lights. It is projected to open in 2017, so book now and be among the first to see the lights in style.
