Today, the vibrant Sinh Village Wrestling Festival (Vật Làng Sình) takes place in Phu Mau Commune, Duong No Ward, Hue City, bringing together skilled wrestlers from across the region! This age-old tradition, held annually on the 10th day of the first lunar month, is not just a display of strength but also a celebration of courage, sportsmanship, and community spirit.

🔥 What makes Sinh Village Wrestling special?
✔ Centuries-old tradition – Dating back over 200 years, this festival has been taking places every year after Tet holiday in January of Lunar New Year

NGẮM NHÌN BỬU TÁN CỦA ĐIỆN THÁI HÒA SAU TRÙNG TU

Được khởi công xây dựng vào tháng 2 năm 1805 và hoàn thành vào tháng 10 cùng năm, điện Thái Hòa là một trong những công trình tiêu biểu của kiến trúc cung đình Huế với kiểu thức “trùng thiềm điệp ốc” (hai bộ mái trên một mặt nền), trang trí pháp lam, trên lợp ngói hoàng lưu ly. Hệ thống 80 chiếc cột bằng gỗ lim được sơn son thếp vàng, trang trí hoa văn rồng mây cùng motif “nhất thi nhất họa” với hàng trăm bài thơ chữ Hán trên các ô hộc ở phần liên ba, đố bản bên trong điện và trên dải cổ diêm ở mái đã đem lại nét duyên dáng cho công trình đồ sộ này. Bên trong điện Thái Hòa, phía trên ngai vàng là bửu tán trang trí 9 con rồng được thếp vàng rực rỡ.
Bửu tán là cái tàng lọng quý báu, che trên ngai vua, tạo nên sự uy nghi và trang trọng của không gian vua ngự. Dưới thời vua Gia Long bửu tán được làm bằng vải gấm. Năm 1923 để chuẩn bị cho lễ “Tứ tuần đại khánh” của mình, vua Khải Định đã cho làm bửu tán bằng gỗ thếp vàng. Mỗi mặt của bửu tán chạm lộng hình hai con rồng chầu mặt vào nhau miệng ngậm chữ “Thọ”, bốn góc chạm hình đầu rồng nhô cao, xung quanh và các góc tạo hình các tua rủ uyển chuyển mềm mại. Người chế tác bức bửu tán này là nghệ nhân Nguyễn Văn Khả. Cảm phục tài năng của người nghệ nhân, vua Khải Định ban cho Nguyễn Văn Khả hàm “Hàn lâm kiểm thảo”, thường gọi là Kiểm Khả.

What a day we had at the Hue Imperial City! Stepping into this UNESCO World Heritage site felt like stepping back in time, with its grand architecture, intricate designs, and rich history. We explored the Forbidden City, marveling at the beautiful palaces and gardens once home to the Emperor, and wandered around where temples and pavilions told stories of royal life.
