Huế Family Dinners is about celebrating and sharing food while creating an engaging experience for everyone at the table. Learn how to make authentic home-cooked Huế specialty menus, make friends and have great fun! This food project is a social enterprise in Huế, Vietnam, to support local charities, local families and our enthusiastic University student guides. Our dinners include a guide, transport, recipes and the opportunity to make lifelong friends in Vietnam.

Dinner on a fishing boat in Thuy Phu for Naomi and Tim from Australia - a very fun and unique experience!
Even more special is that Thuy Phu is one of the villages supported by our local charity Motorbike Book Club, so Naomi and Tim joined in with the library and games session before stepping on board for a delicious dinner.

"An Absolute Must-Do!

Thuy arrived on time and we enjoyed a quick motorbike ride to her home where her Mom (Thanh) is a chef and would be doing the cooking. They share a lovely home! I watched while Mom Thanh prepared the meal and we sat outside while she bbq grilled the meat.
I was treated to: Bun thit nuong (grilled pork, vermicelli noodles, greens wrapped in rice paper); Nem lui (ground pork on lemongrass stalks); and Va tron (hot fig salad). Mom Thanh put her foot in it and I’m stuffed! Thuy speaks very good English and her Mom speaks only a little but that did not stop us from having an enjoyable meal. I got me some leftovers too!"
