Wooden row boats is a familiar symbol which tourists can see and experience when they travel to Ninh Binh in general and Thien Ha Cave in particular
The local residents make advantages of local materials to create wooden boats. All boats in Thien Ha cave use wooden oars controlled by rowers instead of using the motor, so that can reduce negative impacts on the environment in the destination

Therefore, the culture and customs are shared and spread. Especially the life of the Muong ethnic group, this ethnic minority occupies 70% in the area

[Muong Ethnic's culture]

The Muong ethnic inhabiting in Nho Quan district, Ninh Binh province are quite populous. They share a daily basis together. They embrace and carry on the values of the traditional culture.
Visiting living space of Muong People, tourist will have great chance to taste "Ruou Can" as well as eat the "wild" meals. popularly, presented in each special occasion, the big meal made from pork processed into diverse dishes and served on banana leaves which makes foods much more delicious compared to the others ways.
In term of folk arts, performing Gong is a typical form. while playing the Muong women wear their traditional costume which is a long and black dress paired with a white shirt and a plastron inside. a headscarf and a belt are used to highlight the dress.
Studying more about the Muong's culture both enriches your knowledge and helps the ethnic community preserves and promotes it as well.

At Thien Ha grotto as well as its surrounding attractions such as Van Long Wetland Natural Reserve, Thung Nham Bird Sanctuary, there are a plenty of local restaurants for visitors named as Van Long, Son Ha, etc., serving you the greatest delicacies in Ninh Binh.
✅ The very first known ever dish is rare goat meat eaten with the wild and fresh vegetables and herbs. The goats are specifically raised in the limestone mountains making the meat “shrunk, a little fat and tasty”.
✅The second specialty in Ninh Binh visitor must try is rice crust made from cooked rice which after that, is cooled down and deep-fried in an oil pan until it turns light yellow. Crispy, flavorful served with soup will definitely satisfy all of the gastronomes.
✅The last but not least typical food highly recommended by the tourists is mountainous snails. Their’s meat is “chewy, crispy and sweet” which can be cooked into many other dishes like steamed with ginger, stir-fried with chili, mixed salad.
