Trinh Nu Grotto or Virgin Grotto is situated on the island range of Bo Hon in the system comprising Sung Sot Grotto, D**g Tien Lake and Luon Grotto. It is 15km south of Bai Chay Beach.
Characteristics: For fishermen, Virgin Grotto is their house, but for young lovers, it is considered as the symbol of truly love, and is the romantic place for taking oath of love.
Entering Trinh Nu Grotto, one finds in the middle of the grotto a stone statue of a lying-girl with her long hair hanging down who is looking to the sea in a vain hope. Situated opposite to Trinh Nu Grotto, Trong (or Male) Grotto has a stone statue of a boy who turns his face to Trinh Nu Grotto. One still hears his vain scream in tune with the wind blowing into the cliff somewhere.
Legend has it, there once was a fisherman's beautiful daughter, whose family was so poor that it was in the service of the rich administrator of the fishing zone. He forced the family to give him the girl as a concubine. She already had a lover who at that time was on the high seas catching fish to prepare for their wedding. The administrator, angered by her refusal, exiled her to a wild island where she suffered from hunger and exhaustion. On one frightening night, amidst terrible rain and winds, she turned to stone.
It was also the night that her lover knew of her danger, and he rowed his boat in search of her. On the terrible night, the tempest destroyed his boat and he floated to one of the islands. In a lighting flash he saw his mate in the distance, but his calls were driven away by the wind. He used a stone block to hammer down on the mountain cliffs to announce to her he was nearby. He struck until blood flowed from his hands and in his final exhaustion, he turned to stone (Trong Grotto present-day).
Tourists also find Trinh Nu Grotto attractive partly because of its association with a fanciful love legend: Once upon a time, there lived a boy and a girl who deeply loved each other. However, they were so poor that they could not be able to get married. The boy decided to go offshore fishing with a hope that he could get enough money for his marriage. And the girl painfully waited in vain for her fianc. She finally took a small boat and rowed to the sea to look for him. So immense is the sea, and so many are the islands, the boy, therefore could not hear her doleful call, though he was just several canals away.
Exhausted, the girl lied in a grotto, looking to the sea and got petrified after the last call. The boy got lost in a grotto nearby, shouting to call the girl in vain. The echo of their call through the cliff was so moving. At last, the boy became exhausted and petrified in the grotto - present-day Trong Grotto. Today whenever passing this place, tourists can still hear his faint call.

The coastal city of Nha Trang in Khanh Hoa province, Central Viet Nam, lies on the trans-Vietnam highway, 1,278km from Ha Noi, and 448km from Ho Chi Minh City. Nha Trang is endowed by nature with deep, quiet and warm waters all the year round, surrounded by archipelagoes, islands, mountains and white sand beaches - a wonderful and attractive tourist resort.

To the north of Nha Trang stands the Chong mount which looks like a wide open hand over the sea. Far offshore, the Yen (Swallow) Island appears with lush green colours where salangane nests have been harvested for years to make the traditional "bird's nest" tonic and food.

The 7km white sand beach of Nha Trang is often called Vietnam's Mediterranean Area, considered one of the jewel along Vietnam's long stretching coast line. Nha Trang is sunny all year round, with an average temperature of 23°C due to northern winds.

The rainfall is less than anywhere else in the country and the area is not threatened by storms since it is protected by the Truong Son Mountains and Ca Pass. From Ca Pass, one can see Ro Bay (Vung Ro), Hon Do...

Hon Tre Island is 36km² and belongs to a group of islands located southwest of Nha Trang. It takes two hours to reach Hon Tre Island by rowboat and only 20 minutes by ferry.

Nha Trang benefits from topographical advantages of the sea, islands, mountains, and deltas. West of Nha Trang, there are endless mountain ranges where a wide variety of animals and birds live.

Nha Trang has many specialties. Especially, bird's nest soup, or swallow's nest soup is very famous in Nha Trang and round Vietnam. The magnificent coral seabed in Nha Trang makes it ideal for scubadiving and snorkeling.

Nha Trang Bay is recognised as one of 29 most beautiful bays in the world.

Long Bien is the first steel bridge crossing Red River and regarded as the historical witness of Ha Noi in two resistance wars against French Colonial and American Empire.

(TITC) - In 1897, the French Governor – General in Indochina Paul Doumer passed Long Bien Bridge’s construction project to improve infrastructure forcolonial exploitation. In 1898, Dayde&Pille - a French company - was choosen to become the designer and constructor of Long Bien Bridge project. The bridge was started to build in 1899, finished in 1902 and named Doumer after the French Governor – General in Indochina. At that time, this was the biggest bridge in Indochina and hailed as “the bridge connecting two centuries” by the French. The bridge is 2,290m long with 19 steel girders placed on 20 piers that are more than 40m high. Besides, the bridge includes 896m-stone path, a railway in the middle and lanes for simple vehicles and pedestrians in two sides of the bridge. The pedestrian lane was the best place for sightseeing and enjoying fresh air in Ha Noi at that time.

After Ha Noi’s Liberation Day (10 October 1954), the bridge was renamed Long Bien. During the resistance war against American Empire (1954-1975), Viet Nam People’s Army built twoartillery battlefields in the middle area of Red River and used the high places on the bridge as artillery placements to shoot American aircrafts. The bridge girders destroyed by American bomb were replaced by semi-permanent beams with short spans on the new piers to ensure traffic on the bridge. In 2002, Long Bien Bridge was repaired and reinforced.

Nowadays, Long Bien Bridge is used for trains, motorbikes, bicycles and pedestrians only. Opposed to Viet Nam’s traffic, the bridge’s direction of transportation means is on the left. There is still a metal piece engraved construction time and constructor name at the bridge head.

Ha Tien is a seaside and fishing resort which offers several beautiful and interesting sites to discover.

People visit Ha Tien hoping to capture the magic of the land in South Vietnam, where many heroic historical places such as imperial tombs and ancient pagodas can be visited. Ha Tien is such a delightful location that a French film company chose it to produce the movie "L'amant" (The Lover) in 1995. It is an ideal location to spend holidays.

There are several attractions in the area: Thach D**g stone grotto, a piece of green stone emerging from the ground; Chong stone; Hon Phu Tu, Father and Son rocks which lie approximately 100m offshore; and Hang Pagoda. By boat, one can reach Hai Tac islets, 16 islets around which the water is 4m deep. On the coast of Hon Doc, the largest islet is a magnificent white sand beach running towards the sea.
