Phu Lien Pagoda (literal name: Phu Lien Tu, Phu Chan Thien Tu) is a temple located at Group 23, Hoang Van Thu Ward, Thai Nguyen City, Thai Nguyen Province.

The pagoda is named after Phu Lien village - a village founded in the Ly dynasty, also known as Phu Lien incense. The pagoda is also known as "Phu Chan meditation temple" which means to protect and protect the true things.

Phu Lien Pagoda is a temple with many spiritual and national meanings and values ​​for the people of Thai Nguyen province in particular and the people of the country in general. The pagoda used to be the place to protect and hide some insurgents of Hoang Hoa Tham and Luong Ngoc Quyen during the Yen The uprising (1884) and the Thai Nguyen uprising (1917). In 1946, at Phu Lien Pagoda, a ballot box was placed to elect deputies to the 1st National Assembly of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. In 1947, Ty Liem Phong (Thai Nguyen Public Security Department) set up his office at Phu Lien Pagoda. In 1953, Phu Lien Pagoda was chosen by the Provincial Party Committee - Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee as the place to hold the Memorial Ceremony and pray for Marshal Stalin. In 2007 at the 2nd Provincial Buddhist Congress, Phu Lien Pagoda was decided to be the Provincial Buddhist Headquarters.

The current abbot of the pagoda is President Thich Nguyen Thanh - Head of the Executive Board of the Vietnamese Buddhist Sangha in Thai Nguyen province.
