Long before Pu Luong became a destination on travel maps, we were already walking its trails, sharing meals in small villages, and returning whenever we needed to slow down. We came because this place made us feel something: the quiet valleys, the changing rice terraces, the conversations with local families, and the simple rhythm of mountain life. We Explore Ourselves
We are two brothers who grew up exploring the mountains of Northern Vietnam. Over the years, we visited many famous places, each with something beautiful to offer. But Pu Luong stayed with us differently. It wasn’t the highest mountain or the most famous destination. It simply felt… real. We started bringing a few friends here. Then they brought their friends. Again and again, we heard the same words: “This feels like the Vietnam we were hoping to find.” That was when we realized Pu Luong deserved something more thoughtful than another sightseeing tour. Simply for Mountains Lovers
We are still exploring, still discovering new trails, and still learning from the people who call these mountains home. We hope you’ll experience Pu Luong the same way we first did. One step at a time. - Jason
WHY WE STARTED
We Believe There Is a Better Way to Explore the Mountains
Pu Luong Excursions wasn’t built to sell tours. It was built around a simple belief: the best journeys aren’t measured by how much you see, but by how deeply you experience a place. While many tours are planned around attractions and busy itineraries, we started with a different question: How do we want people to feel when they leave the mountains? We believe the best journeys happen slowly. Through quiet trails, long walks, shared meals, unexpected conversations, and the moments between destinations that often become the most memorable. For us, travel isn’t about collecting places. It’s about taking the time to understand them, to notice the landscape, connect with local people, and experience a place as it really is. That is why Pu Luong Excursions exists: not to help you see more places, but to help you experience them more deeply. OUR WAY OF DOING THINGS
We Design Journeys Around Real Life, Not Staged Experiences
We know what makes a journey feel rushed. Too many stops, too many activities, and always looking at the clock because there is somewhere else to go. So when we design a tour, we make different choices. We leave room to slow down, take the quieter roads, spend more time in villages, stop for photos, or simply enjoy the view. These choices shape every journey we create.
✔️ We Don’t Count Attractions
We’d rather spend another hour on a beautiful trail than squeeze one more stop into the itinerary. We believe one unforgettable experience is worth more than five rushed attractions.
✔️ Walking Comes Before Sightseeing
Roads take you to places. Trails help you understand them. Walking lets you hear the river, notice the changing rice terraces, meet local people, and discover everything that happens between the attractions.
✔️ Real Places Don’t Need to Perform
The villages you visit aren’t museums. Farmers don’t stop working because visitors arrive, and children aren’t part of a tourist show. We don’t stage local life. We simply invite you into it.
✔️ The mountains set the pace
The weather changes. The seasons change. Sometimes a conversation lasts longer than expected. We leave room for those moments because they often become the part travellers remember most.
✔️ Small Groups Create Space
A smaller group gives everyone more freedom to stop for photos, ask questions, share tea with a local family, or simply enjoy the silence. Those moments are hard to find when twenty people are waiting behind you. The real Pu Luong has never needed to be created. It has always been here. We simply help you slow down long enough to see it.
