Nhận hồ sơ làm giấy miễn thị thực 5 năm (visa exemption) dành cho người nước ngoài có vợ/ chồng là người Việt Nam mà hiện không ở tại Việt Nam. Hồ sơ cực kỳ đơn giản, gồm:
- Ảnh chụp hộ chiếu người nước ngoài. Ảnh thẻ chân dung nền trắng.
- Ảnh Căn cước công dân vợ/chồng người Việt Nam.
- Ảnh giấy đăng ký kết hôn.
- Địa chỉ nhận thẻ MTT tại nước ngoài (ship bằng FedEx).

Chú thích: Giấy Miễn thị thực được cấp bởi Lãnh sự quán Việt Nam tại New York, hình phía dưới là ảnh thực tế.

- 3cm*4cm pictures (white background, no glasses)

Theo công văn số 450/VPCP-QHQT, người nước ngoài, người Việt Nam định cư ở nước ngoài và nhân thân có thể nhập cảnh Việt Nam bằng thẻ tạm trú hoặc miễn thị thực.

According to Official Dispatch 450/VPCP-QHQT: Foreigners, overseas Vietnamese and their relatives who have valid entry papers (valid pernament residence cards, temporary residence cards, visas or certificate of visa exemption) are allowed enter Vietnam without carrying procedures of immigration inspection, grant of visas/ certificates of visa exemption, or obtaining approval letter.
