To be honest, all we did in Poland was eat 😂🇵🇱

We spent a night in both Bialystock and Warsaw as part of our journey to catch the cheapest flight possible back to Western Europe. They were some pretty long travel days so we crammed in a little bit of sightseeing and a lot of local food tasting. Pierogi, goulash, chimney cakes… it was all delicious 😍

Vilnius, Lithuania 🇱🇹 Soooo much good food here! Our new favourite bar snack is fried bread, dipped in garlic cheese sauce 😍

Riga, Latvia 🇱🇻

We accidentally turned up on Midsommar - a huge cultural festival to celebrate the solstice. It was GREAT for us because we got to wander a massive market with great food, watch the local kids do some traditional dances and be part of all the celebrations.

Fika anybody? (That’s Swedish for coffee and a cinnamon bun ☕️🥮)

Stockholm was a bit of a chilly change from the hot Tuscan countryside but it was so beautiful. The old town was great to wander in and the food was fantastic - YES we had meatballs, both from an authentic local restaurant AND the IKEA cafe.

It blew our mind to find out that Sweden is the world’s second largest archipelago. It was bizarre to know we were technically island hopping just walking throughout the city!

Ios - the Greek island where you sleep all morning, lounge all afternoon and party all night! 💤🏖️🥳

We had an absolute blast on Ios, staying at the stunning Hotel and Spa with epicccc views.

The town absolutely came alive at night with loads of bars and clubs in a close proximity to each other making for an easy bar crawl. Our highlights were the ball pit and fishbowls at and the silent disco at 🪩💃🏼

We also visited the island’s only rooftop bar for an epic sunset and delicious tapas style sharing plates.

We would highly recommend this island to any young travellers!

Have you ever heard of Syros? We hadn’t until researching the Greek Islands!

It felt very different to our other destinations in that the architecture felt like a big city on the mainland! The stunning marina felt like Nice, France or Split, Croatia with huge super yachts and lots of nice restaurants.

A cool place to relax for a few days!

Paros you were a dream! So amazing to visit this peaceful Greek islands with stunning clear water.

We had a Mini Cooper which made it easy to drive around and check out different parts of the island, but our hotel was so lovely we spent a lot of time by the pool! We highly recommend 😍

A highlight was our full day cruise with .cruises where we got to sail around Antiparos and swim and snorkel in the perfect waters. Jumping off the boat was so much fun and we got an authentic souvlaki cooked on the bbq by the captain on board.

We will definitely come back one day!

Rijeka - a coastal town in northern Croatia. This felt like where the locals go to holiday! It was very authentic, peaceful and full of culture and great food. Plus the most stunning hidden beach!

A very important place for the Gerins - this is Treiste, Nonno’s home town!

It was so special to find his old house and get a feel for the places he grew up in. I can see why he loved to ride his bike, the streets and forest was very beautiful.

Plus we had the best pasta of our lives!!! Gnocchi ragu and lasagne 😍
