Have you ever made it to Turkey Lake? This is about 9.5 miles on the Turkey Creek Trail ( #580) from the Jackson Mountain trailhead. I was trying to video quickly to get back down as storms were coming in.

Our Two Chicks family could use some extra love right now. ❤️

On Sunday morning, our kitchen manager and head chef, Eric Novak, and his family of five were displaced by a house fire that left their home temporarily uninhabitable.

While the Red Cross and other resources are helping with immediate needs, Eric and his family may be unable to return home for several months.

We’ve started a GoFundMe to help with temporary housing, clothing, medications, essential items, and the many unexpected expenses that come with a situation like this. Any donation, big or small, or even simply sharing the fundraiser means so much.

Go to our GoFundMe link to donate: gofund.me/bce9675e1

If you’re able to help directly with provisions, supplies, or temporary accommodations, please contact Betsy at Two Chicks and a Hippie.

Thank you for helping us rally around one of our own. 🫶
