I finally tried the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue after years of hemming and hawing about it, and I loved it. I have heard lots of mixed reviews over the years, and remember that everything is subjective, but I really enjoyed the experience and most of the food.
🗓️ Like other dining, this can be booked at the 60 day mark.
💵 This one, however, is prepaid, and price depends on your category. Category 1 is the main floor and completely in the center and is $78 per adult and $45 for ages 3-9; category 2 can also be on the main floor, or center balcony, and is $74 per adult and $41 for ages 3-9 (that’s what I booked, but was still very close to the stage); category 3 is the sides of the balcony and is $70 per adult and $40 for ages 3-9. Tax and gratuity are included in the price, but you can always tip more for good service.
What I don’t love about this is there is no wheelchair accessible seating in category 3, and limited in category 2, so if you require accessible seating, you are forced to pay the higher price.
It also takes 2 dining credits if you are using the dining plan.
🥗 Salad, coleslaw, cornbread, mashed potatoes, baked beans, fries chicken, ribs, and strawberry shortcake are served family style and all-you-can-eat. I don’t like slaw, but the salad was great. I enjoyed everything except the ribs. They were dry.
🍺 Soda, lemonade, b**r (Bud Light or Yuengling), chardonnay, merlot, and sangria are all also included.
💃🏼 I also loved the show!
💙 Overall, this is similar to a character meal in my eyes, but with alcohol (if you drink) and gratuity included, I think this is a good value and alternative to character meals.
