Unpopular opinion about Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge pricing…

Now that Disney’s brand-new Lakeshore Lodge is officially open for booking, I’m seeing a lot of opinions about the prices.

And personally? I don’t think they’re unreasonable for a brand-new Disney deluxe resort.

As a travel professional, I work with families who have completely different vacation budgets and priorities. Some are happy to spend more on their resort experience, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that.

I’m especially excited about the nature-inspired theming, the lazy river and the larger accommodations for families traveling together.

Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge opens July 1, 2027, and I can’t wait to see it!

We FINALLY have more details about Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney Believe, and there is SO much to be excited about!

Disney just revealed a bunch of new experiences coming aboard, and I’m already dreaming about sailing on this ship!

✨ An all-new Encanto stage show

🌸 A reimagined Tangled: The Musical

❄️ A Frozen-themed family dining experience

🌈 An Inside Out-inspired sweet shop

🧜‍♀️ A Little Mermaid-inspired lounge (I am SO excited for this one!)

🦊 A Zootopia-themed entertainment space

🍎 A Snow White-inspired lounge

And that’s just some of what Disney has planned!

Now, my two cents… I’m going to admit that I was a little disappointed with the rotational dining choices. I was really hoping for something different, especially on a brand-new ship. BUT everything else they’ve revealed has me incredibly excited! I love seeing how Disney is bringing some of my favorite stories to life in new ways.

Spring 2027 Walt Disney World offers are here!

There are new ways to save on select stays from January through July 2027, including:

Save up to $250 per night on select 4-night, 4-day room-and-ticket packages for stays on select nights January 3–July 28, 2027.

Save up to 25% on select Disney Resort rooms for stays on select nights January 3–April 29, 2027.

Disney Visa Cardmembers can save up to 30% on select rooms for stays on select nights January 3–April 29, 2027.

If you are already booked with me for one of these travel dates, you do not need to do anything. I’ll be going through my current client reservations today and applying any eligible offers where they save you money.

If you’ve been waiting to plan a 2027 Disney trip, this is a great time to start looking at options.

September feels like a good time for a little introduction since there are quite a few new faces around here!

I’m Caitie, and I’m a travel agent specializing in Disney and Universal vacations. And while yes, I can book your trip, that’s actually a pretty small part of what I do.

When you book with me, I’m there throughout the entire planning process. I help you choose the resort that actually makes sense for your family and budget, keep an eye out for eligible discounts, help with dining and special reservations, send reminders when important dates are coming up, and give you my Tips & Tricks guide!

Before you travel, we also have a one-on-one prep call where we go through everything. The app, Lightning Lanes, transportation, park strategy, when you should actually leave your resort in the morning, which rides make sense to start with, and all those random questions you’ve collected while planning.

And your trip isn’t getting the same plan I gave the family before you. If you don’t want to spend money on Lightning Lanes, we’ll talk about how to tour the parks without them. If you’re trying to stay within a certain budget, I’m not going to convince you that you need every upgrade Disney offers. If your family likes to sleep in, I’m probably not going to build your entire vacation around “rope dropping”.
