Fancy meeting a medieval knight on the shores of Loch Ness this October?
Big Living History Week is back, bringing Scotland's castles to life with historic characters, fascinating stories and family adventures from 10 to 18 October.
Urquhart Castle and Fort George are among five historic sites taking part, giving children the chance to discover what life was really like centuries ago.
The activities are included with admission, under sevens go free, and young people aged seven to 25 can visit for just £1 with an eligible card.
A lovely way to bring a little history into the October holidays.
