The local village of Tarves is a lovely place to visit, the Tarves Heritage Project Heritage has lots of local history and is a wealth of information for people who are researching their family trees.
The Murly Tuck Cafe and The Aberdeen Arms are in the square and both are great places to eat. 😊

Just a short drive away from the Croft on the A97 you will find The Bognie Inn this is a great pit stop for a coffee and bacon roll or fine piece.

Spring is a lovely time of year, marking the beginning of new life. Lots of daffodils are coming out in flower at the moment. 💐

A beautiful misty day at the Croft

The North East coast has lots of lovely little beaches, this is New Aberdour beach, hours can be spent here exploring the caves and paddling in the water 😎 This was also the beach where a remarkable lady saved the lives of 15 crewmen off a steamer that ran aground in a storm in 1884.

Ballindalloch Castle and Garden is a great day out, about an hour's drive from our croft. It has a fantastic tearoom too!

The coastal village of Portsoy is a lovely place to visit, some might recognise the buildings and harbour as Whisky Galore and Peaky Blinders were filmed here. 📽️
