Had the best holiday, weather was great. Loved everything about the cottage,clean lovely decor and well equipped . Also Steven and Aileen made us most welcome, Aileen even introduced me to her horses, small pony's, goats, sheep, dogs and not to forget the cat. Would recommend The Fox and Pheasant .

Lovely cottage in village location. Spotlessly clean and well equipped. Perfect for getting away from it all but still in easy distance of places to visit if you so wish. Beautiful area to walk in with plenty of public footpaths. Would definitely recommend and wouldn't hesitate to go back!

The Old dairy cottage Ainstable has been closed for two weeks while a roof is replaced on the big barn
We’ve put our time to good use on a new wall and a fresh colourful rocky.

We look forward to welcoming returning and new visitors to the dog friendly cottage

Lovely few days spent at this well equiped , comfortable and cosy stone cottage , free wifi too and a smart tv . Sunny conservatory and great enclosed garden for the dog.Lots to see and do in the local vicinity , great walks around Talkin Tarn and long walks along the river . Good foody places too all within a few miles of the cottage.Friendly and welcoming owners , and some food items left for breakfast which was very much appreciated.Would highly recommend.Janet and Jim x

A cosy, well equipped cottage situated in a quiet, peaceful village. It has everything you could want for a relaxing stay ‘away from it all’. Highly recommended!

The cottage was lovely, well equipped and had a small garden. A great bonus was the conservatory. Really nice to sit in and over the week-end we saw some local cows moving to and from a nearby field to graze and be milked. Not something we see at home. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly and left several food items for us as a welcome. Would certainly recommend the Old Dairy Cottage

We had a lovely holiday at the Old Dairy Cottage. The owners were very friendly and helpful, giving us advice on places of interest to visit that were dog friendly. They also had various leaflets in the cottage about places to visit in the surrounding area.
5 Stars all round
