The amount of rubbish I keep seeing around Gambia is mind blowing In certainly places…

One day it will come back to haunt….

"When the last tree is cut down, the last fish eaten, and the last river poisoned, you will realize that you cannot eat money"

The silver shore is masked in gray,
As plastic tides wash through the bay.
From bustling streets to the ocean shelf,
The Smiling Coast of Africa is slowly killing itself.

Wrapped in a shroud of discarded waste,
Tossed in neglect and hurried haste,
The soil is choked, the waters bleed,
Stifled by a synthetic greed.

The grin of the land begins to fray,
As the beauty of the river wastes away.
To save the smile we’ve known so long,
We must right the path where we went wrong.

The lizard buzzard (Kaupifalco monogrammicus), or lizard hawk, is a bird of prey in the family Accipitridae. It is the only species placed in the genus Kaupifalco. It is native to Sub-Saharan Africa. Despite its name, it may be more closely related to the Accipiter hawks than the Buteo buzzards.

Today we visited Bolong fenyo,The Gambia's first Community Wildlife Reserves,together with our volunteers from Jallo Kurundingoto Eco Tourist Camp .We were guided by Sulayman Jabang and it was fantastic he has a lots of knowledge and is very passionate about nature. He shared a wealth of information about the environment and the many different birds species .We thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful walk through

Buba Gibba and the friends from Holland come for a daily birds watching at Jallo Kurundingoto Eco Tourists camp.
It was a wonderful session at the bird watching hideout,were we recorded more than fifteen different species such as Paradise flycatcher,bronze manakin,Common bulbul,village Weaves,Yellow Crowned Gonolek,Black bill wood dove,Yellow Troated Gonolek,Fire finches,Levender Waxbells,Rd eye dove,White crowned Robbin Chat,African Thrust,Long tailed glossy starlings etc..
We had a walk around the campus garden were we saw Western grey Plantain Eater,Yellow bill hornbill,Beautiful sun bird,Yello bill Bush shrike etc..
The trip was amazing and the visitor's were so happy and recommended our camp for it quality sport..
We hoping to receive more bird watchers to come have a beautiful experiences here..
