Thinking of an Italian vacation? Let me plan your trip from start to finish, save your time and energy by letting a professional do the work for you.

Avoid these mistakes in Italy:

1. DON’T EXPECT EGGS FOR BREAKFAST
(brioche, croissants or other pastries, are the norm here, along with a cup of coffee.

2. FLIP FLOPS ARE FOR THE BEACH (you won’t see Italians visiting the historic center in their flip flops. Italians reserve them for the beach.

3. BOOK AN EARLY DINNER ( Italians eat dinner late, around 8-8.30pm, sometimes even later. Do as the locals do, book your dinner reservation a little later than usual.

4. DON’T SAY “CIAO” TO EVERYONE (you say ciao only with people you already know, when in a café or restaurant, use ‘buongiorno’ (good morning/day).

5. DON’T ASK FOR “WELL DONE” (when in Florence and going to try a Bistecca alla Fiorentina, delicious cut of meat that comes from the Chianina cow, a breed only found in Tuscany. Bistecca alla Fiorentina should be very pink on the inside and melt like butter in the mouth.

We’ve learned a few things from our recent trip to Italy. Don’t think or expect that the English language is wildly popular or used by Italian people. You’d be very surprised or disappointed. Instead, try to learn popular phrases/words in Italian which locals will very much appreciate.

Otherwise, I highly recommend you to have your google translate app ready to be your personal interpreter. Trust me, you’re going to need it.

They fly in a day before the cruise, not the morning of. Flight delays and cancellations happen, and unlike a hotel, a cruise ship doesn’t wait for a late arrival. miss embarkation and you’ve missed the whole trip, no refund, no reschedule. One extra hotel night is cheap insurance against losing the entire cruise.

They arrive a day before their cruise, They check in online the second it opens. Not because it’s required early, but because it locks in an earlier boarding window and skips the worst of the line.

They pack a small day bag for embarkation day. Luggage doesn’t reach your cabin for hours swimsuit, sunscreen, and a change of clothes go in a carry-on so you’re not stuck in travel clothes at the pool.

They know which specific ship they’re on, not just the cruise line. Ships within the same line vary a lot pools, entertainment, crowd, so they check the actual ship, not just the brand.

They bring a portable charger and a magnetic hook or two. Cabins are short on outlets and hanging space. Small fix, makes a real difference.

They avoid the first and last excursion slots at busy ports. Same tour, less crowded, because everyone else books the popular mid-morning time.

They tip extra for good service early in the cruise. Bartenders and cabin stewards remember who took care of them on day one service tends to get even better for the rest of the trip.

They screenshot their booking confirmation and excursion times before losing wifi. Ship wifi is unreliable and expensive; having it saved offline avoids a scramble later.

They don’t overbook excursions on port days. One solid activity plus time to actually wander beats three rushed stops.

They read the daily ship newsletter the night before, not the morning of. It’s how you catch time changes, dress codes, and events worth planning around instead of finding out too late.

Is Iceland on your bucket list?

Let me help you plan your trip from start to finish from where to stay and what to see, to the best routes, excursions, and all the little details that make your trip easier:))

You enjoy Iceland.
I’ll handle the planning 😉🙌

But Iceland? It should be!

It's the kind of place where the scenery changes every time you turn a corner. You can spend the day hiking, driving around the ring road exploring little towns, driving through landscapes that don't even look real, and then end the day soaking in a hot pool to relax and recharge:))

The drive isn't just how you get somewhere in Iceland. The drive IS the experience.
And yes, you can get away from the crowds. Sure, the popular spots can be busy. But Iceland rewards you for going beyond the obvious stops.

There are spectacular places you can enjoy without climbing a mountain.
Sometimes you genuinely stop and think, how is this real? The landscape doesn't look real!

Iceland isn't just somewhere you go to see things. It's somewhere you go to experience a landscape
So, have you been to Iceland or is it still on your bucket list?
