Night 1 of BLINK 2026 is in the books, and I'm proud to be partnering with Visit Cincy as a Cincy 7 Ambassador to bring you this view of it.

Here's what stood out to me from the air:

BLINK is a walking event across 30+ city blocks, and the Ohio River isn't the edge of it, it's the middle of it.

You can start at Findlay Market, work your way down through Over-the-Rhine and downtown, then cross a bridge into Covington without ever going back to your car. Northern Kentucky Convention & Visitors Bureau

Two states, one trip.

People ask me what I love most about living here, and it’s events like this.

Big city energy you can cover on foot, with the Ohio River running right through the middle of it.

A few things to know if you're heading down this weekend 👇🏼

1️⃣ Lights come on at sunset (around 7 PM) and the whole thing runs through Sunday, October 11
2️⃣ It's completely free
3️⃣ Bonus tips: the Connector streetcar is fare-free and runs the Cincinnati side of the route, so park once, ride it one direction and walk back through the lights, and then use the GEST cart in Covington to get back to Ohio

And keep in mind, most of the murals stay up long after the projections shut off.

If you can't make it this weekend, come see them in the daylight on a fall or winter trip to Cincy.

Send this to whoever you're dragging downtown this weekend 🙌🏼

This Halloween season, it’s time to explore the darker side of Cincinnati history! 🪦👻

Visit Cincy History Ambassador, Andrew shares a few of his favorite creepy, haunted, macabre, and surprisingly beautiful spots around the Cincy Region.

Are you brave enough to check them out?

🍻 Grab a drink at Arnold's Bar and Grill
Opened in 1861, Arnold’s is Cincinnati’s oldest continuously operating bar, and employees and guests have reportedly encountered shadowy figures, unexplained footsteps and banging from empty rooms. Stop in for dinner or a drink and ask your server if they’ve experienced anything strange. Feeling brave? Check out their limited paranormal experiences this Halloween season that take you into spaces normally off-limits!

🪦 Take a walk through Washington Park
It may be one of Cincinnati’s most beautiful gathering spaces today, but it was once a cemetery! Hundreds of remains were uncovered and rehomed during renovations in 2011. According to local lore, one woman was found buried face down with iron spikes in her coffin, a practice used to keep a perceived witch from rising again!

👻 Book a haunted tour with American Legacy Tours
Become a paranormal researcher as you explore the region’s haunted history using EMF readers and other spirit-hunting tools! From Newport’s gangster tour to the Ultimate Nightmare on Elm Street Tour, step into some of the region’s darkest stories and find out if something is still lingering behind!

🌳 Explore Spring Grove Funeral Homes, Cemetery & Arboretum
Walk among beautiful Gothic mausoleums, towering monuments and the final resting places of some of Cincinnati’s most notable residents! Grab one of Spring Grove’s free walking tour maps and explore while learning about the prominent people buried there!

This Halloween season, don’t just hear Cincinnati’s haunted stories! Go experience the places where they happened!

Think Blink only happens after dark? Think again. The Cincy Region is buzzing all day long.

Wander mural-covered walls in OTR and Covington, catch Cincinnati Art Week and FotoFocus happenings around town, explore world-class collections at the Cincinnati Art Museum, check out 6,000 carved pumpkins at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, explore Newport Aquarium, or stroll through Smale Riverfront Park.

Show up early, stay late. BLINK is a full day event before it's a night time show.

One stunning skyline. A hundred miles of world-class trails. The Cincy Region doesn't make you choose.

Roebling Bridge lights, streetcar bells, a mural on every corner, then a riverfront path that pulls you straight out of downtown and onto a wooded trail. We've got the nation's largest trail network next to a major metro, so the switch from stadium lights to overlook views is closer than you think.

Check out some of our favorites: Great Parks, Cincitucky Trails, Tri-State Trails, CORA - Cincinnati Off-Road Alliance

For everyone who gets to call this region home, consider this your postcard to send to the people you wish were here 🍁

The aunt who needs an excuse to drive in for the weekend. The old college crew overdue for a Saturday at Nippert or a Bengals game downtown. The family you’d happily beam over to Northern Kentucky for a weekend of fall adventures, river views, and plenty to eat along the way.

There are a lot of reasons to visit the Cincy Region this time of year. The best one might just be you.

So go ahead. Send a postcard. Tag your person. Make the plans.

Wish you were here.
