Travel tip: We only needed covid tests to get back into the United States and we’re nervous about the 4 year olds because they’ve never had a test done. I purchased these CDC approved Abbott BinaxNow proctored test kits from emed.com These are NOT the same ones that you walk into Walmart and CVS and buy as those aren’t completed with a proctor.
These allowed us the comfort of not waiting in long lines for covid tests which would take up vacation time. We also did have to worry about holding down the kids while a stranger dug up their nostrils.
Sign up was easy, they just needed your date of birth, name and proof of identity when you begin the test. We waited 15 minutes for a proctor to be assigned, testing too maybe 5 minutes and then waisted another 15 minutes for results and another proctor to go over results….and all from the comfort of our hotel room.
Results are saved to an app and we had no problem boarding via Delta with them. I highly recommend these tests. They came in a pack of 6 and were cheaper than the tests we would’ve taken at the resort. Make sure you check with your airline still to make sure they are allowed, but I’m pretty sure Delta and United take them.
