We are very excited to announce that Hi-Lift Jacks and Accessories has once again partnered with the Overland Challenge!

Hi-Lift fits very naturally into our Hi-Lift Challenge! Teams will use their Hi-Lift jacks to extract a stuck vehicle, raise said vehicle, and re-seat a bead on a damaged tire. Hi-Lift jacks are a very important overland tool and teams who are experienced in this area will excel.

Third Place: (2) 48" hi-Lift Cast/Steel Jacks

Keep in mind there are timed challenges and some challenges that require some physical effort (like bridge building). Read about them on the website. Also keep in mind that you will need a competition license and final cost on that is not available. Expect $40/each for driver and co-driver. Refunds are available until 4/1 if the competition license cost is too high when final numbers are available.

Food has been confirmed for Saturday's late lunch! A huge thanks to Stefanie and Chef Mark with Mess Haul, the All American Food Truck. Anyone in the Andover Ma area has probably seen them around and hopefully tried their food. It is amazing! There is NO ADDITIONAL COST to competitors for this amazing food. It is included in your registration fee.

There are two big news items to share. The first is that the Overland Challenge will now include some TIMED challenges! This was not possible last year due to insurance regulations. This year we were able to make it happen.

The second and even more exciting part of the news is the addition of a new challenge: The Team O'Neil RallyX stage! Teams will complete a full RallyX course with their vehicles in a race against the clock! This is a timed event and points will be awarded based on final time.

I know some people will ask how is this Overland related. Simple. If you've ever been on a long overland journey outside of the country, you know that there are some fast, twisty, and often incredibly dangerous mountain roads out there. On a 1.5 car wide road with locals behind you and an oncoming bus, you need to think quickly and you need a vehicle that can respond to your actions without losing composure. Those teams/vehicles that can handle the higher speeds, fast turns, hard braking, and quick driving skills necessary to complete the RallyX course the fastest are those teams that will be better suited to handle some of the fast and dangerous driving found on many overland trips. We are VERY excited to announce this event as part of the Overland Challenge 2016.
