🚢 Disney just revealed its newest ship, and I’m not looking at the kids club.

Disney Believe starts sailing December 18, 2027, with four and five night cruises from Fort Lauderdale.

Yes, there’s plenty planned for families.

But you know what caught my eye?

The grownup spaces.

Sea Notes, a piano lounge.

Skygazers, a stargazing pub.

Wishing Well, inspired by Snow White.

And Gazelle, which turns into an adults only space at night.

I’ve sailed the Disney Wish, Believe’s sister ship, and Disney cruising feels completely different when you’re traveling as adults.

Great service. Beautiful spaces. Really good evenings at sea.

Do the parks first, then take the train to the ship.🚂🚂

The Disney Believe sails 4 and 5 night Bahamas and Caribbean cruises out of Fort Lauderdale.

And that makes a land and sea trip easy.

Do your Orlando park days. Take the train down to Fort Lauderdale. It’s about a 10 minute Uber from the station to the port.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Flying in instead? Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami all work.

Just one rule I won’t budge on: fly in the day before. Always.

Adults only spaces, included in your fare. Imagine that.

Here’s what people miss about Disney Cruise Line.

It’s a great cruise for adults.

The Disney Believe keeps the adult spaces coming. The Gazelle lounge is family friendly by day and adults only by night. Stargazers is a pub with craft b**r, cocktails, and live sports. And it’s tucked out of the way.

And all of it is part of your cruise fare.

Meanwhile, some Norwegian ships make you PAY to get into the second adults only area.

Really? Pay extra to get away from the kids? Pass.

Everyone loves to say the shows on Disney Cruise Line are Broadway quality.

Having actually worked on Broadway?

Not quite.

But damn close. 😂

And the Disney Believe is getting a big one: Encanto, live on stage for the first time anywhere. Plus a reimagined Tangled with brand new sets built for a bigger theater.

I knew they were hiding something good. They’d been hinting way too hard.

Should You Book the Disney Believe Maiden Voyage?

The first sailing costs a premium. Here’s when I’d go instead.

Maiden voyage prices for the Disney Believe are out.

They are not cheap.

And honestly? This ship isn’t different enough to justify that premium. Unless you’re a total DCL diehard who HAS to be first.

If you want to sail it in year one, I’d look at January through March instead.

And whatever you pick, don’t sit on it. Cruise prices go up as the sailings fill. The Believe opens to new cruisers October 19.

Sometimes I do not choose the vacation dates first.

I choose the experience.

Festival of the Arts returns January 15 through March 1, 2027, with Disney on Broadway and 19 Food Studios. Flower and Garden follows March 10 through May 31 with gardens, topiaries, outdoor kitchens and Garden Rocks.

If one of those sounds exactly like your kind of Disney, I would rather build the trip around it than squeeze it into whatever dates happened to be available.

Everything New on the Disney Believe

Encanto, Frozen, and the return of the best lounge at sea.

The Disney Believe sails December 2027 and we finally know what’s on board.

A Moana Grand Hall with a constellation ceiling.
Encanto’s stage debut.
Tangled with brand new sets.
A Frozen dinner show called Oaken’s Table.
And the Haunted Mansion Parlor is BACK.

Some of it, I love. Some of it, I’m side eyeing a little. (Frozen again? I was rooting for Coco.)
