ATA is truly an Australian company, founded by Australians and set up to service the Australasian Region, Australia, New Zealand & Neighbouring Pacific Islands. ATA was founded in 2011 but our history in the tile and stone industry dates back to the 1950’s starting with Thomas Wall who came to Australia in 1963 and set up a tiling business in Sydney with Graeme Wall taking over the family busines
s in the early 80’s in Perth Western Australia. Graeme having served his time under his father’s instruction working on such projects as high end domestic homes, Coca Cola Bottling Plants, swimming pools, commercial kitchens and the construction of meat rooms and bakery’s as well as shopping centres. Graeme had worked as a contractor and Project Manager in Australia and around the world in the tile and stone industry. Graeme’s eldest son Alan Wall has followed in his father’s footsteps and has gone on to become a Qualified Tiler all so with experience and success in Technical Sales of Tile and Stone Installation Materials. In 1993 Graeme took a change in direction and took on the challenging role of Technical Sales Representative for an International Adhesive company starting in Perth and the moving to the Eastern States. Graeme quickly became recognised in the industry for his hands on experience and technical ability in the construction industry and within a short time became an owner/director of the company. His responsibilities were to build the brand name and develop products to suit the Australian Market, ( and yes we do things different down here ). We see a need in the market for an Australian company based on quality products that are Australian compliant, manufactured locally by Australians for our region. Luke Wall, Graeme’s youngest son has taken a position within ATA while doing his Business & Entrepreneurship Degree at RMIT.
