One of the best things about Downtown Camas? There’s always a reason to come downtown.

#281 - Every fall, thousands of chum salmon fight their way up Chico Creek — the largest salmon run on the Kitsap Peninsula — and you can stand close enough to hear them splash. 🐟 Kitsap Salmon Tours returns Saturday, November 7, 11am–3pm: eight salmon-viewing sites across the county, staffed by biologists, tribal fisheries experts, and trained salmon docents. It's completely FREE, with guided walks, hands-on activities, and coloring stations for the kids at every site. It happens rain or shine (this is salmon weather, after all), so bring waterproof shoes and your questions. Can't make November 7? Salmon migrate all fall — the viewing sites are open to the public year-round.Presented by Kitsap County Parks, WSU Kitsap Extension and a coalition of tribes, agencies, and local conservation groups.
