I wanted to share the cute Birthday gift that our class/parents put together for our kid’s 1st Grade teacher. I love when teachers give you lists of their favorite things. So we collected money and purchased her favorite things, put them into boxes and decorated them like a birthday cake, complete with a candle and her favorite colors and flowers too. I love how it turned out 🎂 ♥️

🎃 Honest post moment… my first Trunk or Treat as a sponsor for my travel agent biz was a TOTAL FLOP. 😂

The good news? Everyone LOVED walking the plank — even with the puncture holes. 😂 And they loved my theme!

The bad news? I STILL have no idea where my spooky entry-room backdrop disappeared to. 🤦‍♀️ And the wind?! Ohhhh, the wind. It was SO windy that absolutely nothing wanted to stay put. I was tying, taping, securing, re-securing… basically battling the weather all night. 😂

I had this whole vision in my head, and it definitely did NOT turn out the way I pictured it. I was super disappointed, especially since I was hoping to win Best Sponsor Trunk. I also had like .5 seconds to do my makeup and was only able to put on my captain shirt…
Bc kids started walking up.

Once they started walking the plank for candy and prizes, I went straight into silly mode — yelling at them to LOOK OUT FOR THE PIRANHA! 🦈😂 And suddenly, I cared a lot less about the decorations.

I learned A LOT.
Prepare for all kinds of weather…

I also learned that some kids, parents, and grandparents can be… whew. 😅 Asking for specific candy while I’m serving 20 kids at once, or getting annoyed because there isn’tanother squishy in the cauldron of prizes that I didn’t even realize was in there…

Ma’am. 😂 I’m handing out candy, prizes, and trying to keep the ship from blowing away. I’m here. I’m trying. Please be thankful. 😂

We also had almost THREE TIMES the number of people show up who hadn’t RSVP’d, so I’m VERY thankful to the PTO for bringing an extra bag of candy! 🙌 I had purchased over 15 lbs of candy plus a ton of prizes, tattoos, and stickers, thinking I was MORE than prepared.

Apparently, Halloween had other plans. 😂
Anyway… lots learned. Knowledge gained. Experience earned.

I am EXHAUSTED and currently considering whether I should just bonfire my ship walls. 😂🔥🏴‍☠️

But hey… my trip-planning skills are MUCH better than my ship-building skills. ✈️😂

Next time: fewer decorations, more zip ties, and a weather contingency plan. 😂

🚢 Come tour the Caribbean Princess with me! 🛳️✨

I recently stepped aboard *Caribbean Princess* in Port Canaveral for a ship tour, and I have to say… I walked off thoroughly impressed.

Princess Cruises is celebrating **60 years of sailing — from its beginnings in 1965 to today, with ships exploring all seven continents. It’s also the cruise line famously known as the original Love Boat ❤️ 🛥️

Caribbean Princess is a Grand-class ship, and this tour gave us a peek at several different ways to cruise — including a Mini-Suite, an ADA-accessible balcony cabin, and an inside stateroom.

One thing that really stood out to me was the Princess MedallionClass experience. The technology makes so many things incredibly convenient — including ordering food and drinks and having them delivered right to wherever you are on the ship.📱🍹

We also got a look at the different ways guests can elevate their cruise with Princess Plus® and Princess Premier®, which can bundle things like beverages, Wi-Fi, dining and crew appreciation into the experience.

And if you’re looking for an even more elevated experience, Princess has its Sanctuary Collection, with private spaces, dedicated dining and Princess Premier included. ✨

Princess definitely seems to appeal to travelers who value great service, elevated dining, destination-focused itineraries and a more relaxed, classic cruise experience— while still offering plenty to do onboard.

And then… we ended the tour with a delicious lunch. 🍽️

My final takeaway?
I came aboard curious about Princess, and I left genuinely impressed.👏
