A very strange sky this morning. Photos show in sequence from my arrival at the beach 25 minutes before sunrise to my leaving 15 minutes after. Had to use the iPhone to get the wide-angle of the full eastern sky. It is amusing how many people write things in the sand. Most of them are like this one.

Crepuscular rays (Thanks JP) caused by the shadows of the clouds blocking our view of the sunrise, crossed the sky to the opposite horizon, and seeming to converge over the cusp. The light of the suns fire caught in the rain of the clouds for a wonderful show. It was a great morning to linger.
