Swipe to see my crappy first hot chocolate in Switzerland. Our first morning in Zurich, I was crazy excited to have a hot chocolate there - the land of chocolate 🍫 Welp, in this truly lovely, waterfront cafe, it was utterly disappointing 😅 It was later fixed with a do-over at a different spot (with an incredible view of the Swiss Alps), but it was funny how my amazing vision immediately got tossed into Lake Zurich. Heep 🤭

Batik painting at - I painted the first two pieces. The others were by the professionals; watching them work was mesmerising! Previously, at a different location, when I tried this, I drew out my pictures/patterns with the hot wax myself. That part is fun but a little bit stressful for me, so just doing the painting on this occasion was nice 🙂

An afternoon tea of x . Still one of the best canelés I have found in Malaysia so far, in one unique and wonderful setting. Getting back to the hotel after a day out was always a joy! From pulling up to the exterior, the entryway, lobby and lounge, to the cosy, retro bedroom. This afternoon snack was the perfect French rendezvous.

Lunch and lime on Malaysia Day with some of my faves. We exchanged presents from travels, had great conversation and laughs, all with some incredibly tasty food from . Already looking forward to the next one.

Peruvian grub! When you've had a Peruvian host mum whose food is mind-blowing, it's hard to compete. That said, when my mum and I travelled across Peru, we had many amazing dishes. These ones in London looked pretty, but didn't really live up to what I have come to know as good Peruvian food. But anyway, it was shared with two amazing friends and a day full of belly laughs...worth it for that 🥰

Exploring this little side of Melaka was an absolute treat 💛 The shop fronts weren't as filled out as some might hope, nonetheless wandering through the area felt like being transported to a land far beyond Malaysia. I wonder what it's like there now...
