Spoiler: Halloween in Italy feels about as American as fettuccine Alfredo is Italian. 😂
Our first few years in Italy, I dressed my kids up in cute costumes like astronauts, puppy dogs, or princesses. We got the weirdest looks, but didn’t care. 😅
I was still holding out for the fun, lighthearted costumes I grew up with in the U.S. and pretty against anything scary. But once my kids started going to public school here… they weren’t having it anymore. 👻
I miss Halloween in the U.S., but I also remind myself that this kind of Halloween will become my kids’ core memories. 🇮🇹🎃 They’ll love it just as much as I loved mine growing up, just for totally different reasons…and that’s ok.
How is Halloween celebrated in your country?
