As the summer air cools and you look for new things to try this fall 🍁, consider a trip to Arlington, Virginia.

It's just outside of Washington, DC. Whether you drive, takea train, or fly there, it's very easy to get to. It's actually amazing how close the airport is to the heart of the city (a 10-minute ride)!

There are so many incredible things to do there. We L-O-V-E-D 💗 hopping around the area to find the best date ideas!

You don’t need much more in The Netherlands to enjoy your down time than gorgeous tulips and a good Dutch beer! 🌷🍺

🌷🌷🌷Flowers from , which we highly recommend to pick your own flowers, and🍺🍺🍺 beer from the supermarket…but because Mikkel was at the brewery her first trip to The Netherlands in 2012, and it was very good! It still is!

This photo was taken in Beemster when we rented a small electric vehicle, called a Twizy, from Fort Beemster.

This windmill still exists in Beemster (many have been destroyed over the years as they are no longer needed) and is very picturesque. No need to fight with tourists because small cities like this one are easy to have all to yourself.

🚗 People flock to Amsterdam, and we like it too. But The Netherlands beyond Amsterdam is really where the magic is in this country! 🇳🇱

In the midst of cold weather during North American winter, we’re reminded of the fun times we had in Alaska. Now is the time to plan your 2024 Alaska vacation if you haven’t already!

Our recommendation is to include snorkeling in the Pacific waters in Ketchikan on your must-do list. We had a great time with .

We were a little apprehensive but we had nothing to worry about! You wear a wet suit, your guide is with you the whole time, and you’re in shallow water. It’s such a unique experience seeing the animal and plant life beneath the surface of the water. 🤿
