At present, the only available connection to Socotra Island is via Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, starting from February 3rd.

(🛑 Flights from Abu Dhabi have been cancelled and are no longer operating.)

✈️ Available travel dates:

February 3–9, 10–16, 17–23, 24 – March 2
March 3–9, 10–16, 17–23, 24–30, 31 – April 6
April 7–13, 14–20, 21–27, 28 – May 4
Last possible tour: May 5–11

✈️ Flights – Yemenia Airline (operating once a week only):
• Tuesday: JED → SCT
• Monday: SCT → JED

Only one itinerary is possible: 7 days / 6 nights

🎟 Ticket price: USD 800 per person

For our clients who have decided to postpone their trip, we are returning deposits and assisting with refunds through Air Arabia.
For those who choose to travel via Jeddah, we will arrange the flights and provide the highest possible level of service on the island.

Hezky den ze Sokotry,

tento příspěvek mám zveřejněný v soukromé skupině / Sokotra&Socotra, informace o cestování na ostrově
ale přijde mi dost zajímavý na to, aby byl sdílený i veřejně.

Návštěva místních rodin – zážitek, který zanechá hlubokou stopu v paměti.

U menších (privátních ) tour pro 2–4 osoby se často dostanete přímo k rodině, pokud průvodce nebo řidič cítí zájem a sympatie u klientů.
U mých větších skupin jsou navštěvovány pečlivě vybrané rodiny a vesnice, obvykle mimo civilizaci a daleko od hlavního města Hadibo.

Muži ze skupiny zůstávají většinou v “ přijímací místnosti “ před branami obydlí a mají možnost poklábosit s místními muži či starostou (shejkem), bude jim nabídnut sladký čaj, takže neztrácí atmosféru místa.
Naopak my děvčata máme příležitost setkat se s místními dívkami a ženami, které okamžitě opustí stud, odhalí se a překvapivě žádné téma není tabu.
Prohlédneme si například “kuchyni “, “ložnici “a zjistíme , jak vlastně místní život je drsný – což je opravdu obohacující zkušenost.
Fotit ženy je však zakázáno, ale celkově jde o velmi autentický a osobní zážitek, kde se prohloubí kontakt s místní kulturou a způsobem života na Sokotře.

Podotýkám, nejedná se o nějakou zaplacenou atrakci.
Není to pravidlo a ani nechci, aby bylo. Vždy záleží na mnoha aspektech a je nutné to respektovat.

Hezký den z ostrova Sokotra 🙋‍♀️

tak dnes den zkrášlení - jak pro chlapce, tak pro děvčata.
Kluci navštívili v Hadibo barber shop, luxusní zastřihnutí vlasů a vousů, a že si na to místní potrpí…🧔‍♂️🧔‍♂️.
S děvčaty jsme navštívily místní rodinu na hennu, pleťovou masku a výborný domácí chléb podávaný jak jinak než se sladkým čajem 🫖🫓

Jedinečná příležitost jak se dostat k místním blíže, což bývá při striktních pravidlech dost složité😃
