Spring has arrived and the coral trees are showing off!

Erythrina lysistemon, a species of deciduous tree in the pea family, Fabaceae, is native to South Africa. Common names include common coral-tree, lucky bean tree, umsintsi (Xhosa) and koraalboom or kanniedood (Afrikaans).

A rare cream-white / pale-ivory flowering Erythrina caffra (coast coral tree) can also be seen in Alexandria.
