This unit is a separate “bachelor's style” unit with an en-suite bathroom (shower, toilet and hand wash basin) and can accommodate 2 people sharing a double bed.
PLEASE NOTE!
This unit is only available to rent separately during MID WEEK (Mondays- Fridays) Excluding Friday nights and School Holidays. Please Note – When we have guests staying at our Main House (P*k ‘n Wyntjie that is attached to the unit, the Hot Tub and backyard area is for (main house) use only.
We do charge an Extra fee of R200 to use the Hot Tub for the period that you are booked- Own wood. This is payable in cash on arrival – if Tub is available!

The kitchenette is fitted with a microwave, kettle, toaster, egg cooker, snackwich maker, electric frying pan , air fryer and a bar fridge. The unit has a separate secure sliding door entrance.
Small lap size dogs are welcome, please note that only the back yard of the main house is fenced and the area where you can park your car. Should you go out for the day dogs must be taken with or left in the fenced area. No dogs must be left unattended in the unit.
Should you wish to book the house for 8 people, and you wish to rent the extra unit for extra guests you are welcome to book both. If the unit is not required, the unit will not be accessible. Please arrange accordingly.

WOOD FIRED HOT TUB. - BRING OWN WOOD! We can however order you wood. Once booking is confirmed we can send you a pricelist.

Leopard’s Gorge Trial, Kogelberg
Trail Distance: 6km (3-4 hours)
Here’s an easy yet spectacular walk for the family. The 7-and-a-bit km hike takes you through a 400 m rise and fall in elevation, from the Palmiet River valley, through an old indigenous forest to glorious views above Betty’s Bay.

This moderate one-way hike through diverse fynbos vegetation starts at Oudebosch, and ends in the Harold Porter Botanical Gardens near Betty's Bay. You will need a vehicle to get you to Oudebosch, and another to collect you at the end.

Hikers can expect to see views of the coastline, shale forests, diverse terrain and various sandstone formations. It is advised that the hike starts before noon, as the Harold Porter Gardens closes at 6pm.
It is an easy walk up to Oude Bosch, a remnant indigenous forest at the top of the kloof. Ensure that you take the left fork soon after you exit the forest and you will see a view Betty’s Bay and Stony Point unfold through a gap in the mountains. From there it is a spectacular scenic walk across the top of the waterfall, then skirt the precipitous cliffs above Leopard’s Gorge, negotiate a steep zig-zag descent to end in Harold Porter Botanical Gardens, one of the gems of the Cape. Be sure to have left transport back to Kogelberg at the gardens, or stroll back along the coastal road – but this would be a longer walk than the one through the gorge.
