We’re incredibly proud of these three young people who just graduated through BOT SOC’s Protecting and Restoring South Africa’s Natural Heritage project, funded by the National Lotteries Commission in partnership with SANBI.

Congratulations to Hayley Zitsman, Dellvern Booysen and Kaylee October – who learnt from one of the most inspirational leaders there is, our contractor Gerty Holtzhauzen. The four of them attended the event, held at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden.
Through this training programme, our graduates gained valuable hands-on skills in conservation, citizen science, alien vegetation clearing and more.

A special thank you to Botanical Society of South Africa, South African National Biodiversity Institute, and all partners for making this journey possible.
