This coming Tuesday (approximately 26 May) is the Day of Arafah — the 9th of Dhul Hijjah — and it is the single greatest day in the Islamic calendar.

On this day:
🕌 Hajj pilgrims gather on the plain of Arafat in one of the most powerful scenes in all of human history — millions of souls standing before Allah in white, unified in worship.
🏠 For those of us at home, this day carries extraordinary blessing — the Prophet ﷺ said that fasting on Arafah expiates the sins of the PREVIOUS year and the COMING year. [Muslim]

"Hajj IS Arafah." — The Prophet ﷺ

Even without performing Hajj, we can share in the blessings of this day:
✅ Fast on the Day of Arafah (approximate date: Tuesday 26 May)
✅ Make du'a: the best du'a on Arafah is: لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
✅ Give sadaqah in abundance
✅ Increase dhikr throughout the day

Ibn Abbas (RA) reported that the Prophet ﷺ said: "There are no days during which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days." They asked: "Not even Jihad in the path of Allah?" He said: "Not even Jihad in the path of Allah — except for a man who goes out with his life and wealth and does not return with any of it." [Bukhari]

🌟 How to make the most of these blessed 10 days:
📿 Dhikr — fill your mouth with: Allahu Akbar, Alhamdulillah, SubhanAllah, La ilaha illAllah
📖 Recite extra Quran — even a page or two more each day
🍽️ Fast — especially on the Day of Arafah (26 May)
💰 Give sadaqah — your charity is multiplied immensely

The Prophet ﷺ said: "The du'a of a Muslim for his brother in his absence is answered. At his head is an angel making ameen to his du'a. When he makes du'a for good for his brother, the angel says: 'Ameen, and may you have the same.'" [Muslim]
