Kicking off the Italy recap with our first hotel … The Carlton Milan. šŸ‡®šŸ‡¹
It set a great tone for the trip. Intimate interiors, incredible food, a spa that genuinely delivered, and one of the best aperitivo hours I’ve had in a while at The Carlton Bar.

Fresh mozzarella. Pulled straight from the pot. On the Amalfi Coast. .di.civita

This is the kind of evening we live to plan for you.
Not a restaurant reservation. Not a food tour. A private moment with the best local makers, warm cheese, good company, and the kind of memory that stays with you long after you’re home.

This is what Italy can look like.

You don’t have to stay in Saint-Tropez to experience the magic of the South of France.

Nice brings together everything people love about a Riviera summer, palm-lined promenades, iconic beach clubs, elegant hotels, colourful old streets, and that effortless Mediterranean lifestyle.

It’s glamorous without trying too hard, lively without feeling overwhelming, and perfectly positioned for exploring the rest of the CĆ“te d’Azur. Perfect for day trips to Monaco, Cannes, and Menton, all within easy reach.

If a Euro Summer is on your vision board this year, this is your sign to start planning it properly. ✨

May is one of the best times to travel, if you know where to go.

It’s that in between moment where Europe starts to come alive, the weather is exactly right, and you can still enjoy places before peak summer crowds arrive.

From coastal Europe to lakes and mountains, major events, and the start of safari season, there are so many ways to plan a trip this time of year, it just depends on what you’re looking for.

The difference is choosing the right destination for the kind of trip you actually want.

Save this for your May travel inspo!

Some places are beautiful.
Some places are restorative.
And then there are the rare ones that feel like they were never meant to be found.

Finca La Donaira is exactly that.

Set deep in the Andalusian countryside, life here slows to a rhythm you didn’t realize you were missing. There’s no performance, no pretense—just a quiet, intentional way of living that pulls you in almost immediately.

Nearly everything you experience is grown, raised, or produced on the estate itself. It’s not just farm-to-table… it’s a complete return to source. Vegetables from the garden. Milk from their goats. Wine, olive oil, honey, all produced right there.

With only nine individually designed rooms, the experience is inherently private and personal. Service is intuitive, never performative—thoughtful in a way that feels effortless.

Days are shaped by what you need most:
a long horse ride through the hills, a quiet afternoon by the pool, or simply time to siesta after lunch.

But what stays with you isn’t just the setting - it’s the feeling.
It feels like being welcomed into someone’s home… if that home happened to be one of the most quietly extraordinary places in Spain.

I slept 12 hours a night here without trying.
That tells you everything.

This is where I send clients who don’t need to be seen—
they want to feel something.

Couples, solo travelers, and families who understand the art of slowing down will find something rare here:
space, stillness, and the kind of rest that stays with you long after you leave.

Cape Point catches a lot of first time visitors off guard, from the distance and gate times to how long you actually need there.

This is not a quick stop, plan it as a full day trip to really experience it properly.

Here’s what you need to know before you go:

1ļøāƒ£ Don’t take an Uber, it’s far from Cape Town’s CBD. Book a private driver instead
2ļøāƒ£ Avoid queues at the entry gate by not going on public holidays, weekends or peak season
3ļøāƒ£ Pack a picnic basket, your hotel can usually arrange one, but there is also a restaurant on site
4ļøāƒ£ Wear comfortable walking shoes, even if you are not planning to hike
5ļøāƒ£ Choose a calm, warm day to make the most of the beaches
7ļøāƒ£ There are several viewpoints along the route, don’t just stop at one
8ļøāƒ£ Look out for wildlife like zebra, eland, antelope and ostriches
9ļøāƒ£ Be aware of baboons and don’t approach them on foot
šŸ”Ÿ There are great vantage points for whale watching during the season

It’s one of the highlights when you do it right!

Your guide to dining in Beaune, and a few places we always come back to when planning time in Burgundy.

From relaxed wine bar evenings to Michelin starred experiences, this is a destination where the food really shapes the trip.

Caves Madeleine is one of those spots that feels local and full of character, with bold, flavour driven dishes and incredible producers behind it. Garum brings a more modern, social feel, with seasonal plates designed to share, while 8 Clos offers a take on classic Burgundian cuisine with a slightly different edge.

For something more elevated, CƩdric Burtin is worth the short journey. Set in a restored watermill, it is refined, thoughtful, and deeply rooted in the region.

And then there is Maison Lameloise, a true institution. Three Michelin stars, decades of history, and a dining experience that feels both timeless and completely current.

If you are planning time in Burgundy, these are the kinds of places that make it unforgettable.

My mother once told me you either have time or money, and time is much harder to come by. The older I get, the more that stays with me.

Greece, but not the version you are used to seeing.

This is a slower, more thoughtful 9 day itinerary designed for clients who want something beyond the usual island hopping. Starting in Thessaloniki, then heading into the mountains for Meteora, Metsovo, and the Zagori region, where experiences like truffle hunting and quiet village stays completely shift the pace of the trip.
From there, it is a seamless move to the coast with time in Corfu, before ending in Crete with Chania’s old town, a completely different side of Greece again, and a half day out on the water to Thodorou Island.
It is a mix of culture, nature, and coastal moments that feels balanced from start to finish, without ever feeling rushed or repetitive.
If Greece is on your list, this is how we would do it differently!
