Our THINK Motorcycle Academy and K53 Bike Lessons Team, Andy and Julia, are excited to be hosting an Open Demo & Info Morning on Saturday, 27 September 2025 from 09H00 to 12H00ish, at our Muizenberg Training Venue, Beach parking opposite the Traffic Intersection of Royal and Axminster Roads.

Anyone interested and keen to learn about riding a Motorcycle or needing info about any Motorcycle road riding and traffic related safety matters is invited to join…!

We are thrilled to reveal that the legendary 𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗨𝗠𝗣𝗛 𝗠𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗖𝗬𝗖𝗟𝗘𝗦 𝗖𝗔𝗣𝗘 𝗧𝗢𝗪𝗡 will be joining us for a Demo Day On The Coast! The Triumph Team will show off some of their popular Models, available on display, for you to see, feel and even an opportunity to ride them. Come experience what makes these Motorcycles so iconic, sit in the saddle, get behind the handlebars, listen to the raw growl of the Engines, and if you are a Rider with a valid Motorcycle Learners/Drivers Licence, you are welcome take the Bikes for a Test Ride, within the safe confines of our Muizenberg Training Venue.

As we leave a chilly Cape Town Winter in our Rear View Mirrors and head into the 2025 phase of our "Saddle Up For Spring" Program, we can only look forward to those amazing sunny days, "back in the saddle"...enjoying rides along the most amazing roads in the most awesome place to live.. Cape Town.

Andy Rice and Julia are extremely excited to launch our 2025 "Saddle Up For Spring" Tours and Out Rides and have introduced a number of new stunning Tour Routes, Itineraries, Themes and Destinations..🌻🌺🌸 🏍🛵

THINK Motorcycle Tours offers a variety of classic and unique guided Motorcycle "lifestyle" Tours and Out Rides within and around the Greater Cape Town Region., with the emphasis on promoting proper safe defensive Rider Training, in an environment made up of spectacular, scenic routes, roads and mountain passes, visiting fascinating attractions and destinations en route.

Riding a Motorcycle or Scooter should be a fun, exciting, leisure activity, but Rider Safety and Riding Skills should always remain a top priority.

In keeping with this, we have developed a number of specialised Rider Training and Skills Development Tours and Out Rides done at a comfortable pace, ideally suited for those Riders who are still building up confidence on a Motorcycle or Scooter.

The aim of these mentored Tours is to contribute towards improving Rider Safety and Rider Fun Factor, whilst enjoying this exhilarating experience.

All Tours and Out Rides are lead by Andy Rice, a professional qualified Motorcycle Safety Instructor and Tour Guide with many years of experience in the saddle. Under his guidance, you will be tutored and trained to be a safer Rider, skilled to become a predictable, competent, knowledgeable and confident Rider with a proper understanding of safe defensive riding etiquette.

All our Itineraries and Routes have been identified as ideal Training Out Rides..... especially designed for those Riders not yet that confident but exposing those Riders to a variety of real Road Riding and Traffic Experiences whilst learning the correct riding techniques to bond and understand the controls of their Motorcycle.

All Routes and Itineraries are keenly designed for those Motorcyclists and Scooter Riders who wish to enjoy and explore the scenic beauty of the Greater Cape Peninsula along some of the most spectacular coastal roads and mountain passes, whilst being mentored and trained to become safe, skilled, competent and confident Riders.

General Info

🔸️ All local Cape Peninsula Tours
are about 2.5 hours in Duration.
🔸️ Riders should be suitably
competent with at least a
Learner's Licence for their
roadworthy Motorcycle or
Scooter.
🔸️ Each Tour is Limited to 6 Riders.
🔸️ All Tours and Out Rides will be
pre-booked, pre-paid, but are
subject to prevailing weather
conditions on the day.

- Motorcycle Rental options are
available as we have 4 x Academy
Training Motorcycles available for
hire:
- 1 x Suzuki Gixxer GN 150cc
- 2 x Suzuki GS 150cc.
- 1 x Yamaha YBR 250cc
Rates on request.
- All costs of Bike Rental, Fuel, any
Refreshments and Entrance Fees,
etc, will be to each Rider's own
account.

Although the Seasons are changing in and around the Greater Cape Peninsula and the weather is definitely getting a little crispy and chilly as we slide into our Cape Town Winter.. this is still no reason to pack away our Bikes and Riding Gear in the garage, quite..yet...☔️☃️

The weather is still really pleasantly awesome to get out and enjoy a lekka little gallop on your Motorcycle or Scooter, before the cold and rain hits us... 🏍 🛵

THINK Motorcycle Tours offers a variety of classic and unique guided and mentored Motorcycle "lifestyle" Tours and Out Rides around the Greater Cape Town Region, with emphasis on promoting proper safe defensive Rider Training, in an environment made up of spectacular, scenic routes, roads and mountain passes, visiting fascinating Attractions and Destinations along these different Routes, including stops at a number of the really lekka local Deli's and Coffee Shops, found enroute...☕️🥧🧁🫖🧋🍪🍰

In keeping with this, we have developed a number of specialised Rider Skills Development Out Rides done at a comfortable pace, ideally suited for those Riders who are still building up skills and confidence on a Motorcycle.

The aim of these Out Rides is to contribute towards improving Rider Safety and the Rider Fun Factor, whilst enjoying this exhilarating experience in a mentored safe environment.

All Tours and Out Rides are lead by Andy Rice, a local, born and bred Capetonian with many years in the saddle and vast experience as a professional registered Motorcycle Riding Instructor and Tour Guide.

Under his guidance, you will be tutored and trained to be a safer Rider, skilled to become a predictable, competent, knowledgeable and confident Rider with a proper understanding of safe defensive riding etiquette.

All the Itineraries and Routes we ride have been carefully set out especially for those Riders who need to build up "time in the saddle" and confidence by gently exposing those Riders to a variety of real Road Riding and Traffic Experiences whilst learning the correct riding techniques to bond and understand the controls of their Motorcycle.

All Routes and Itineraries are keenly designed for those Motorcyclists and Scooter Riders who wish to enjoy and explore the scenic beauty of the Greater Cape Peninsula along some of the most spectacular coastal roads and mountain passes, whilst being mentored and trained to become safe, skilled, competent and confident Riders.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Out on Sarge, my trusty steed, a few weeks ago, whilst planning and riding the route for one of our most favourite THINK Motorcycle Tours Day Tours, the CAPE OF GOOD HOPE FAUNA & FAUNA EXPLORER, I couldn't stop thinking how fortunate we are to have this pristine rugged wilderness, literally in our back garden and so easily accessible via any Motorcycle or Scooter.

Looking out over the fierce chilly Atlantic Ocean from the abundantly beautiful scenic view points and then with just a quick dash over a hilltop, your view changes as we sit overlooking the calmer seas of False Bay.

The energy from riding thru this harsh but gentle wilderness in the saddle of a Motorcycle, is beyond a privilege.

Join us as we explore this Region, riding spectacular twistie roads alongside the Ocean, soaking in the diverse floral beauty whilst looking out for the various Animals and other wildlife found within the Cape of Good Hope National Park.

Our last Cape Peninsula 2 Wheel Trundle for 2024 was such an awesome Tour.

A group of really wonderful Folk mostly newish Riders, all with a common interest to enjoy their Bikes whilst exploring the spectacular Cape Peninsula along the scenic roads that are literally on our doorstep, if you a Deep South Boy.

And interesting varied Group, with some fascinating age differences... our youngest Lady Rider, being Kiera, all of 18 years of age and young Keith, being 81 years of age..

Was an absolute privilege to lead this Group around the Deep South Peninsula, via Boyes Drive, Fish Hoek and then The Royal Naval Village of Simonstown which never failes to deliver its quaint Royal Navy charm.

A quick regroup down on the Simonstown Waterfront Jetty and then we headed out onto those bumpie straights, some curves and twisties around past Milllers Point, along Plateau Road to the back of back of Scarborough ,where we stopped for a Coffee.

Our Return Journey was to vist one of the old restored Cannons, installed during the WW2 to protect the Port of Simonstown Harbour should it need to be defended. The stunning views over the Village from this View Spot are absolutely spectaular.

The ride took is down Red Hill back on the Main Rd and via Boyes Drive to a finish point in Lakeside.

Our Next Out Ride will be to the Atlantic Seaboard including Noordhoek, Chappies, Hout Bay and Victoria Drive to Camps Bay, etv
