Say hello to our cheeky neighbours on the Cape Peninsula!

If you’re lucky on our Cape Peninsula tour, you might spot the Chacma Baboons usually hanging around the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve or sometimes even chilling near Simon’s Town.

They’re wild, clever, and full of personality!

Here are a few fun things we love about them:

They live in tight-knit families, just like us led by a wise old male.

Baboons are super smart and communicate with over 30 different sounds (plus a lot of expressive body language!).

They’re not picky eaters fruit, roots, insects, even small animals, you name it.

And while they mostly walk on the ground, they can climb like pros when they need to.

Oh, and they’re very curious so don’t leave snacks lying around!

We always remind our guests to enjoy them from a distance respecting their space keeps everyone safe and happy.
