Throwback Thursday: A Story from Salzburg

I’m a firm believer that looking back is just as important as looking forward. Remembering the adventures we’ve had fills my heart and fuels my excitement for the ones to come.

This throwback is extra special.

Back in 2021, Uwe and I decided on a very spur-of-the-moment trip to Europe. I was 26 weeks pregnant and had just left a film job that was truly awful. On the flight, Uwe gave me a letter—the first I had ever received from him.

I'll never forget the flood of happiness, love, and excitement I felt when I read those last four words: "Will you marry me?" It was a moment I'll cherish forever.

Later this November, we're going back! We'll be in Salzburg to visit my best friend for a few days, and I'm beyond excited to revisit this special place.

Not all adventures have to be big international trips. It’s the small, local moments that make everyday life truly adventurous.

I’ve been to Kalk Bay countless times, but this time, with my cousin from Australia, we created our very own Kalk Bay Food Tour and WOW. What a blast we had!

Well, I was the designated driver, so some of us had more fun than others. 😉 But it’s a perfect reminder of how incredible South Africa is and all the gems we get to explore right here at home.

Our weekend “Go Adventure” was a mandatory Graham Beck Popcorn & Wine pairing, and from the moment we arrived, we were blown away.

This isn’t just a great tasting—it’s an experience. The popcorn and MCC pairing is truly on another level. Who knew a crisp bubbly could be so perfectly matched with a bokkom popcorn? It was delicious, surprising, and exactly the kind of adventure we love finding.

And a huge shoutout to the incredible team at Graham Beck! Their patience and kindness with our little ones were next-level. This is the kind of peace of mind we look for when we say we vet places for you.

Our weekend adventure is officially loading… but before we dive in, can we have some real talk?

I’ve been struggling to decide how to approach our social media page. As a boutique travel agency, we’re not just about selling trips. We started with one purpose: to remove the admin from your adventures. To be in your corner for any travel issue you might face, and to ensure you have the best possible experience.

We aren’t like other agencies. We don’t just make contact for the sake of getting money. We want to get to know you, build a relationship, and celebrate life’s beautiful milestones alongside you. ✨

And for that to happen, we need you to truly know us. To know that the adventures and passion we face are real—with or without our two little crazy babies in tow. 😜

Our goal is simple: to go out and find places and activities that we can recommend with total peace of mind. We’re not just sending you into the unknown.
