Sanbona Wildlife Reserve is one of those very special places that gets it right!
They are far and few and we need to celebrate the hard work and dedication of their conversation team.
In terms of your experience, you will find a luxurious tented camp at Dwyka or a family lodge that accepts children on game drives from 4 years old at Gondwana family lodge, and both give you access to a huge expanse of preserved and fragile ecosystem of utmost beauty.
Additional to the game drives, you also get to see fossils, rock art and some remnants of the history of the area.
The reserve is home to the big 5 as well as to White Lions and Cheetahs among many other species… However, the goal here is not to tick an animal list, but rather to understand and feel a part of this beautiful world we live in.

I was told that we need to post on social media to confirm that we are still operating. Eventhough we haven't posted in a while Midday in Africa is doing strong ! We have been blessed with a lot of amazing travellers to South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana and Mozambique who have touched our hearts in meaninful ways, and we hope to have touched theirs.

Our borders are opening!

President Cyril Ramaphosa announced earlier this week that the borders of South Africa will reopen on October 1st 2020 and we could not be happier! We know how much you have missed exploring the world and we are here to help you do it again while keeping you safe. South Africa has adopted all the health and hygiene safety protocols (PCR tests, temperature checks and social distancing in all public spaces, regular cleaning of all surfaces including airport trolleys and luggage in the plane, buffets replaced by individual meals... etc) and we will adapt the itinerary to your needs. And to protect you even more, we have adjusted our terms and conditions.
Now, more than ever before, is the time for self-reflection, meaningful actions and soul-awakening experiences. What better time for a safari in the middle of the African bush or a spiritual retreat in pure wilderness? This is exactly what make South Africa, as well as its neighbors Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe, your best next destinations! We said it back in March: we are back, but better!
