Masjid al-Namirah: A Landmark of Faith

​Located on the edge of the Plain of Arafat, Masjid al-Namirah holds a profound place in Islamic history. This is the very site where Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) delivered his historic Farewell Sermon during his final Hajj.

Key Highlights:

​The Hajj Sermon: Every year on the 9th of Dhul-Hijjah, the Arafat sermon is delivered from this mosque to millions of pilgrims.

​Combined Prayers: Following the Sunnah, pilgrims perform the Dhuhr and Asr prayers together here.

​Unique Boundary: Interestingly, the front of the mosque is outside the boundary of Arafat, while the back is inside—a crucial detail for pilgrims completing their Wuquf.

​The towering minarets of Namirah stand as a symbol of unity and the timeless message of equality from the Prophet’s final sermon.
