Uganda: Days 5 & 6 🇺🇬

From safari drives to the mighty Nile, the adventure just kept getting better.

Day 5 took us to Tangi Elephant Camp, where we headed out on safari drives and spent the night surrounded by the wild.

The next morning, we swapped the road for the water, travelling by boat along the White Nile towards Murchison Falls and our next stop, Hemingway’s Tented Camp.

From there, a guided walk brought us up close to the incredible power of Murchison Falls ,easily one of the highlights of the trip.

An epic couple of days exploring another side of Uganda.

Day 4 brought another completely different side of Uganda and another unforgettable adventure.

We headed into the lush forests around Kisoro in search of the rare and beautiful golden monkeys. Trekking through their natural habitat and finally getting to watch these incredible primates up close was an experience we won’t soon forget.

From the forest to the coffee beans, our next stop was a local organic coffee roastery, where we got a behind the scenes look at the journey from bean to cup and, of course, sampled some incredible Ugandan coffee along the way.

Wildlife, trekking, local experiences and plenty of adventure.

Uganda just keeps delivering. 🇺🇬

🇺🇬 UGANDA | DAY 3 🦍

This was the day we’d been waiting for… gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Heading deep into the rainforest, trekking through thick jungle and incredible scenery, all for the chance to come face to face with one of the world’s most extraordinary animals.

And then we found them. 🦍

Seeing mountain gorillas in their natural habitat, just metres away, is almost impossible to put into words. Powerful, peaceful and completely unforgettable.

This is the kind of experience that reminds you why we travel.

Day 3 of our Uganda adventure, and definitely one for the books. 🇺🇬

🇺🇬 UGANDA: DAY 2 | INTO BWINDI

Day 2 took us into the incredible landscapes of Bwindi, and this was where the adventure really started to feel special.

We spent time with a local village community, learning traditional skills and getting a glimpse into everyday life in this beautiful part of Uganda. Along the way, there was some incredible birding and wildlife, with something new to spot around every corner.

And then there were the views… 🌿

Our accommodation sat high on the hill overlooking the forest, with spectacular views across Bwindi. The perfect place to end another unforgettable day in Uganda.

And we were only getting started…

🇺🇬 UGANDA | DAY ONE

And what a way to start the adventure.

Kyle and Brad kicked off their Uganda journey in Entebbe, on the shores of Lake Victoria, with a search for one of Africa’s most extraordinary birds, the rare and prehistoric looking shoebill.

Shoebills found ✔️ and then it was on to explore the Entebbe Botanical Gardens, taking in Uganda’s incredible plant life, wildlife and biodiversity.

The day ended at a local market, getting a first taste of Ugandan culture, colourful artwork and the incredibly warm and welcoming people.

Not bad for Day One…
